Good choice. Using the BulletPoint and a magnetic mount here. The arm was moved to the left side after one drive. The arm was used in the former Wrangler.

Big day today: started with getting the ProCal performance tuning software installed at my local dealer. Buzzed home to install the required "455 hp" decals on the hood "vents" as I hear that is mandatory or you void some sort of double secret probationary warranty or something. This should more than offset the 70 lbs of weight I added this week with a full set of skid plates, replacing the factory shields (front, engine, transmission, transfer case and fuel tank. new set of five skid plates weigh a total of about 120 lbs; the factory ones I took off weigh about 52). More info on that to come at a later date.

Then took the old shields over and powerwashed the FluidFilm off of them so I can handle and store them without looking like I lost a mudwrestling match. Front and engine shields in the box, fuel tank one on top there:

Then made the day complete installing the Takform phone/acc mount thingy. What a terrific product, all metal for rigidity, install was a snap, they supplied all the tools except for a screwdriver and drill (two simple little holes that no one will ever see). Watched an install video but wouldn't have needed it as instructions were very clear and it was almost 100% rocsteady-proof for a mistake/mess up. It seems uber sturdy.

Anxious to try it out during some offroading down near the Jersey shore plowing through the sand in the Pine Barrens.

Do those two straps holding the OEM fuel tank skid also hold up the fuel tank?

I figured that the rest of the truck isn't exactly subtle, might as well keep going.

Little exploring a bit north of us today and found a very old road that runs by the Delaware for quite a bit. Was told that it was used by soldiers during the civil war. Almost didn't get there as we chose the wrong way at a T intersection and hit this first:

But after some quick recalculating (we turned around) we got going again. Was a chance to see if the Tackform mount was a better choice for filming any off road excursions:

Was a good day, even if we barely got dirty:

Another big mod day. OEM antenna was hitting in spots in my parking garage at work so swapped out for "the stubby."
