See title and video. Happens during startup. It occasionally happens when driving. Is this related to the auto start/stop disabler somehow (4D Tech version)? It sounds like it's coming from the lower left of the steering column, where my left shin might be.

Edit: I'm almost certain it didn't do this when I picked it up..I would have noticed. It seems to have started around the time I installed the 4D Tech ASS eliminator, but don't know exactly. The truck seems fine other than this pew pew sound when I start it up. If no one has ideas I'm going to yank out the 4D Tech and see what happens. Also, nothing in the OBD port (like a GPS tracker).

I have a lariat with the 4Dtech eliminator and the perimeter security plus module. No pew pew sound for me.

Check your OBD port and make sure there isn't a pass through connector going to some sort of GPS tracker.

First thing I checked, nothing there.

Okay, I finally found some other videos/discussion about this on other forums. It's some kind of bullshit security/tracking system the dealer installed, but it's not in the OBD port, it's somewhere under there.

I hate dealerships.
