I completely agree with your advice. I had a vanity plate that had zeros on my e-class and I got pulled over a bunch of times because the cops misread the plate and assumed I stole it. It was inconvenient to be pulled over frequently, but what ended up being too much to bear was how *every* *single* *cop* lied about why they pulled me over. And they were such shitty lies that young kids I had in my car would chime in, "Daddy but you WERE going 35" or they said my taillight was burned out when my dash would tell me not only that a bulb was out, but *exactly* which bulb was out, etc. But magically the "bad bulb" started working once I was pulled over. After a half dozen of these experiences my kids and their friends started talking casually about cops lying or not knowing how to read, or refusing to take responsibility for mistakes, etc. I actually changed my plate to something without zeros or ones to put a stop to it; I can't make the cops look good but I'm doing what I can to shelter the youngsters from that nonsense.So be careful what you spell out and how it may be viewed..... Case in point. My first personal plate - I was going for Hi O Silver (for those of you who remember the Lone Ranger). HIOSLVR was taken so the DMV clerk and I got creative. Sounded good until someone asked me what Hi O 5 Lover meant..... SHeeezzzz. So back to the DMV and I pulled out a plate idea from the past. This used to be on my 89 5.0 GT Mustang. And it had a good track record for NOT being pulled over.
Think about what you put and how it may be interpreted. Once someone voiced Hi O 5 Lover I couldn't un see it. One plate i had was ILLBCNU. My neighbor asked what does Ill Buck NU mean...... He also didn't get YLEKIOT.... Say each letter out loud fast...
