Why does my ac come on at startup?

I swear it wasn’t going this before but now when I startup the ac light comes on.

So I turn it off and next time I startup it is back on.

I've noticed that also now that it's gotten chilly out. Have mine on Auto set at 68. It will be 50 out and the air is on. Very strange

Are u using remote or app start? If u are, check ur settings in autostart features on info screen

Same here. AC is on at start-up. Still learning about this truck.

I think it has to do with the humidity sensor. If the humidity is above a certain threshold, the AC acts to reduce the humidity. Mine comes on often, but not always, even when it’s sub freezing.

I think you are correct. I checked the settings and there isn't anything specific for air. It's definitely a intermittent issue so must be a sensor of some sort.

I have a similar issue. Sometimes the AC is on ether times is off. Even the heated seats are sometimes on by themselves..

There is a setting for seats and steering wheel to come on automatically. . Mine come on automatically when it's cold out. Yesterday they were both on and so was my air.

A/C doesn't necessarily mean it's cooling the truck. It's literally conditioning the air, depending on ambient temperature and humidity.

on the main center display under vehicle->remote start

oddly I went to that remote start option and turned off the climate control auto at remote startup and my ac didn’t come on at regular startup

I will see if that stays the same today…

Those can be controlled though the center touchscreen settings as well.
