Some POS threw a big rock at my windshield parked in my driveway .So Safelite replaced the windshield ever since it was replaced I cannot put anything in the bed over 200lbs and I get a Pre-Collision Assist Not Available warning . So Cruz control don't work emergency stop don't work . I have taken it back 3 times and they tell me nothing is wrong . I tell them this is a truck right I do put things in the bed and now I can't after your install . You will have to take it to ford . Ford is going to say that is not our windshield were not going to fix it under warranty .

My Insurance company ( Progresive ) is who they want you to use

There have been a few posts I have read, either here or another car forum where a 3rd party, other than the dealer, replaces a windshield and a host or other problems start. Similar to yours,

I have been back 3 times and tell them I did not have any problems before the windshield replacement . This window is not OEM I am going to demand to replace with a genuine Ford replacement since the truck is under warranty and only has 2600 miles on it

Progressive can coordinate the diagnostic payment so you aren't paying out of pocket, or they will instruct you to submit the bill for reimbursement.

• Force the OEM Glass Swap: If Ford determines that Safelite used a generic aftermarket windshield that cannot hold a calibration under load, Progressive will be forced to supplement the claim. They will compel Safelite to rip out the aftermarket glass and install OEM Ford glass at no additional cost to you.

Why Safelite Will Back Down
Safelite cannot afford to lose Progressive's massive volume of insurance referrals. The second a Progressive claim supervisor steps in and demands an explanation for a failed safety calibration, Safelite will suddenly become incredibly cooperative.

I had my windshield replaced after only 500 miles on the truck. Went to a local to get it replaced for half the cost. The windshield is Pilkington and no calibration was done. I have no CEL or any problems with the cameras/sensors. Maybe they had accidently disconnected a sensor while replacing?
