Hey All,

I was quite disappointed to find out it costs an additional $1,500 to take a guest to the RR assault school. I find that price quite steep for a one day experience with no other accommodations included (besides a meal).

I previously had a 2020 ST that ended up being a lemon after only 6 months of ownership so I never got to attend that school either- but bringing a guest was free and they provided the hotel. What gives with the RR school being so drastically different in terms of cost? It's very hard to justify $1,500 for one day when it would cost us that in travel alone (east coasters).

Just disappointed in Ford on this aspect. Wish they would allow a guest to come for free like they offer in their other experiences- especially if the guest is a registered owner of the vehicle.

They're covering your cost of your participation. You bought the truck not your guest. The liability insurance, where and tear on their trucks, workers pay, etc. have to get covered somehow.

It's nice they even allow guests. And it's nice they have the event at all for us to enjoy, as they sure wouldn't have to.

I haven't even looked at the Assault school as there are plenty of places to go on trails here in vegas. I know the Bronco Raptor cost is $995 for Driving Guest. Which I believe is just shared time.

If they are really asking $1,500 for a driving guest, I'm not sure who is going to pony up to pay that ridiculous price.

$1500 is way too steep. For that price it better be a separate experience and not shared time.

You can have the attendees pay out of pocket for the liability insurance. Which also includes wear and tear on the vehicles. They do this at the bronco off roadeo.

On that note, as they are covering for the owner's participation not your guest. I know a few folks on here bought their Ranger Raptor together. So this would alienate your spouse or partner in attending the school for an additional $1,500. Not sure if there is an exceptions to this, but the price is very steep.

Sure- if that was standard across the board. But if they're giving free hotel/guest options for other Ford performance vehicles, why wouldn't they do it for all of them? Just my take on it.

Absolutely ridiculous! My brother is flying down with me (whenever my RR arrives at the dealer), so what am I supposed to do with him while I go to the Assault School?

What a waste.

Any dealer that has a markup should pay it out of their pocket. "Let's gouge those RR fans as much as possible!"

My guess is the school takes you down Butterfield Canyon which is adjacent or very close to the school location.

That or they go off the trails down by their private track land. Which is all surrounded by BLM land that anyone can go on.

You can skip out on their private track and go yourself to the neighboring areas if you are close to Utah.

$1500 is pretty reasonable to hoon someone else's $60,000 truck for a day on their track. Going rate to rent an old Spec Miata for a track day is in the range of $1000 and doesn't include the track time. I'd be willing to bet Ford is barely breaking even at that price.

I never did the ST School for my Fiesta ST, but I don't recall them offering to let your guest drive for free. I'm fairly certain it was only guest attendance and maybe ride alongs for free.

That's where I'm confused then, is the $1,500 to let the guest drive the track? Our just to ride along?

Says, that each Ranger Raptor owner can bring one driving guest who participates in all the same Ranger Raptor Assault activities as the owner - aka Shared time

You're sharing the truck with another driver whether or not you pay for your guest to be that driver.
