This morning I decided to try out using my remote to open/close the windows in my 2024 RR. This feature has to be turned on in Sync 4 using the dash tablet, and opens/closes all 4 windows at once. The specific sequence is outlined with the buttons that turn this feature on.

My first attempt had all 4 windows going down, but only 3 windows going up. The malfunctioning window was the rear driver side. After unsuccessfully messing with settings etc, I used google to find out this is somewhat common, and that the fix is to recalibrate the window the same way you recalibrate a one touch window button when it stops working. Just start the truck, and go thru 2 or 3 full sequences of lowering and raising the window from the front controls, and continuing to hold the button for a few seconds when it reaches both the top and the bottom. It should then start working from the remote like the rest.

Thought this might save some work for others having this issue. I had actually thought that this would be my first piece of warranty work. I'm ignoring one rear door that is cockeyed by less than 1/8 inch, and of course some surface rust on the driveshafts and some underneath components. That level of stuff doesn't bug me at all, and sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. For those that do want all their doors to line up perfectly, I did run into a guy yesterday at a car show, who installs doors on F150s at the local ford plant. He assured me that someone who knows what they are doing, and has the right tools, can align a door in 5 minutes or so. But he agreed that my misalignment was pretty minimal and probably not worth fussing with. Otherwise, this RRaptor is perfect in every aspect, well, except for not having a couple hundred more hp.... grinning a bit.

Glad to know the fix if it ever happens to me. But curious, I thought one-touch windows were needed for the remote feature. My RRaptor doesn't have one-touch rear windows, yet my rear windows work remotely. Weird.

Good morning, John! Are you still experiencing this window concern? If so, I would like to look into it on my end. Please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer.

It's all fixed. I made this post to inform others how to do so

I read this post with interest because I am unsure how this works. In my Bullitt, I press the unlock button twice, holding the button down on press #2 and the windows open. When I lock the car I press the lock button twice holding it down on the 2nd press and the windows close. I tried that on my 2024 Lariat and it doesn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. One more reason I miss not having an actual manual.

Here is a screenshot from the manual. Hope it helps. Full manual pdf is available from ford online, and a paper copy is usually available thru ebay for 50 or 55. It sucks that it doesn't come with the truck

not even an option in the settings on my truck, I assume taken away due to the window/sensor recall deal. I ordered a forscan cable and plan to see if I can re-enable it.

Where in Sync 4 do you turn this on? I looked and could not find it.

So this is an issue and Ford is aware of it. Took mine (Lariat, 2.7,FX4, August 14 blend date) in about a week and a half ago to show them that "Windows" wasn't even appearing under Vehicle settings. Dealer took pics and provided to Ford support folks. Took it in this morning to have them try a software fix but it didn't work. So the Field Service Engineer is working with folks in Detroit as I understand it. They'll either have a fix for it or may even be addressed in a vehicle software update. No date given, but I understand it's actively being worked, and understood that it affects more than just my Ranger. As another person on this thread said, I suspect this broke when they tried to fix the earlier window closing issue, and my blend date supports that guess. (Having worked in platform/application support I can't tell you how many times a fix broke something else. Patch and pray as we say!) I'll update this thread after I get a fix or update.

My blend is 09/03 and I don’t have a windows field either.

Glad it's not just me. With the info and screen shot John B posted I figured I was all set. When I checked, windows did not appear under the vehicle screen. I was driving past the dealer today and decided to ask about it. The sales manager saw me pull in and came out to ask me if I needed help with something. I explained my issue and he tried and also saw "window" was missing under the vehicle option. He checked a couple of videos on the topic saying there were 3 ways to do it. All failed. He said he never saw this issue before and he'd check with the service manager when he returned on Monday and get back to me.
