Added tow hooks

I ordered a 2 wheel drive truck..my choice... BUT if I need to pull a Chevy out of ditch...there is nothing to hook to up front..all plastic! My Ford dealer got me factory parts..400$ got installed Saturday. Went well..painted them red..happy with outcome!

Reverse is the last gear I would choose to pull someone or something. Those front hooks are for you to be pulled...

Thanks for posting this, would have come in handy on Saturday. Went to the county storm debris landfill and it was poorly marked. Wound up getting stuck. Ironically, it was a Denali that got me out.
what are the last 2 items, some type of finish trim piece?

Ya soft rubber so can push into hook era..if your good enough could cut old covers...but I didn't want to do that

I bought a set of those from eBay, they are slightly different and I am going to have to modify them a bit. What bolts to the area I circled on your photo? Thanks.

It is the bkt that holds up the shield at bottom under air to air..the first cover before the one ya take off to do oil change...this cover has mount at each side..then back of cover held by engine cover....so ya will need this!

So the skid plate? I have a non 4x4 XLT only thing I have down there is a plastic valance, then a plastic cover over the bottom front of the motor.
What is the flat plate with the hole just below the part I circled from your photo?

sorry guys...are you saying that on raptor the hooks do not come as factory fitted??my wildtrak has by default both hooks

The bolt that holds the front of cover at bottom of air to air..then behind that is plastic engine cover..AK skid plate mine is plastic...the front bolts come off tow hook bkt..back bolts are the front of skid plate at engine bottom...how u get cover off tow hook hole with out taking valance off?? Them clips at top are a bear to get to...done good! Bolts are like 15mm...u get that cover off in front of AK skid plate you'll see better!

$90 for the set. Says it fits 2019 - 2024 Rangers under "Vehicle Fitment".

It says:
"Rough Country's Tow Hook to Shackle Conversion Kit! This easy-to-install upgrade replaces your factory tow hooks with a durable d-ring shackle mount that's easier to access and gives the front of your vehicle an eye-catching look."

What if you don't have factory tow hooks? I guess you would need to supply the mounting bolts yourself.

The instructions say:
1. Remove the factory skid plate using a 15mm socket. Set aside. Cut the rubber filler panel where shown using a razor blade. Remove the tow hook bolts using a 15mm socket.
2. Install the new bracket and the skid plate bracket using the removed hardware. Torque to 45 ft-lbs. Install the factory skid plate and torque to 35 ft-lbs. Hang shackle / D-ring of choice.

On my XLT there is one on each side already. I bought some from FORD. There is a thread where someone had posted all of the FORD part #’s including the bolts.
