I installed the Retax OneMX tonneau and then tried the Roll N Lock M series XT. Check it out.

Interesting timing. I’ve been looking closely at covers today and noticed a picture of the Retrax that looked a bit wonky. Your video confirmed what I saw in the picture. Thanks. Unfortunately, I’m not wild about the strap for closing the Roll n Lock.

Looks like the cover i got off Amazon for around 700. Mine was easier to install though.

I like that it opens on its own with spring loading.

Still love the Roll N Lock. No leaks, works flawlessly and is low profile. Can't say that about that dang Retrax, what a POS that thing was.

I second the Roll N Lock. works great. I like that it can be open in 2 mid positions. I did have a problem with it at first where in the first open position it would bump to the 2nd open position on any bumpy road or windy day, but I managed to fix it by jamming a block of wood under the rail to force it a bit tighter. I had contacted Roll N Lock on this but they did not have a solution. A short time with a band saw and I fixed it myself, so now am fully happy with it.

I don't mind the strap at all. The Retrax cover has ultimate trouble with binding since your always pulling it open from one side or the other. It doesn't retract on it's own either like the Roll n Lock.

Ahhh, where was this review a year and a half ago lol? I feel like I should have got the Roll-N-Lock. I don't have any issues with my Retrax other than water intrusion, which is enough for me to strongly dislike it. I like the infinite stops and have no issues with binding. But it does not seal well at all, mostly at the rear lip. The tailgate needs its own seal kit regardless of what cover you get but the top of the tailgate is different than 5th gen rangers and a lot of the bed cover manufacturers did not consider this.

I might have to replace the Retrax at some point.
