Just got my Amp power steps installed and they don’t work. Amp doesn’t know why so they’re sending another controller and OBD plug to try. Even the app won’t work. Says incorrect password every time.
Has anyone installed the new amp steps on their ‘24 without any issues?

My truck is on order and I’ve been considering them. I just can’t get a good feel on whether or not they’re worth the extra money over the Go Rhino steps. I’m sure there’s a reason for the disparity in price, but I can’t figure it out.

Sorry for your luck with them though. I’m interested to see how well they resolve it.

Hope to have the new parts Monday. If it doesn’t work, refund time.

Be careful if your putting power running boards on a Ranger Raptor. One guy on here did that and rocks from his tires tore up his paint. The only good thing about the RR's running boards, is they keep the rocks off your paint.

The main advantage of AMP, if you buy into it, is that the boards tie into the ODB port versus magnets in the door. Reportedly, AMP has that technology patented and therefore unavailable to others.

As to the paint damage, I am going to look into having the exposed areas PPF'd to help guard against the stone chips.

I went with the Westin power boards. Much better height for stepping into the truck than the OEM board.

Hey guys. When I bought my truck in 2021 i had the dealer put some power running boards by Amp research. Some of you guys here have the same boards, have any of you had trouble with the front of the board not going all the way up ? Thanks for any replies !

StumperJumper, where did you find AMP that fit 2024 Ranger? Do you have the part number of the boards you received? Thanks...

Hey,
Just look up your truck on Realtruck.com and the part number will show up. Customer service is great as well. I had a bad OBD plug on my install but we swapped it out and it's working great now!
