I had this happen to me about five times. Hasn’t happened in the last few months, but I am worried that it could happen as I pull out onto busy south Florida roadways. My wife also drives the truck and I fear that something could happen to her with this issue. It seems like Ford obviously knows about this problem, so if an accident happens due to this issue and they’re aware, aren’t they negligent for not doing anything?
Report the issue to NHTSA.GOV enough reports about safety they will recall this issue until then Ford will do nothing

👆 If you feel you have a SAFETY concern, and your dealer/Ford are unresponsive, file a report with NHTSA.

In some cases, a mechanical or design flaw root cause could lead to a safety concern and could lead to a potential recall as well. Note, a recall is conducted to remedy a safety, compliance, or emissions concern.

Aside from a recall, there is potential for a Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) to provide an upgrade to a specific component or extend an existing warranty, which have time and mileage limitations. These are designed to enhance customer satisfaction for non-safety concerns. LOL, I know what you're thinking. Think, cam phasers....

This forum is a good way to communicate with owners and gather other's experience, but nothing will ultimately be done by discussing an issue only within this forum or what others are experiencing within this forum.

This has happened to me twice. Each time turning right up a slight grade and lost power for about 2 seconds. No noted flashing lights on the dash. No power in accelerator. No sounds heard. 2024 Ford Lariat 2.7 V6 4x4. Have not spoken with the dealer yet.

I have experienced odd hesitation in lower gears. Feels like the ECU and TCU do not communicate well.

Add me (2024 June build) to the "me too" list. Happened yesterday - heard a loud clunk, said WTF, then stepped on the gas and nothing heppened. I thought the person behind me was going to rear end me. Then let off the gas and pressed again and all was fine. This was while going about 40mph after slowing down to a stop light that just went from red to green.
