This looks awesome!

I'd be very interested in a rear seat delete. I don't have much use for the backseat and would very much appreciate the extra room. My truck is my daily and dedicated for offroad use on the weekends. It looks like the platform has threaded holes for latch points which is very useful. Here are a few things I would be considering if I were to do this conversion:

- I'd like to fit check to see if I could fit my Gunner Kennel (Intermediate size) inside the cab. Right now I typically put it in the bed which takes up a ton of room. When I am camping with the wife, the dog gets put in the kennel overnight. It would be nice to be able to haul him inside the cab.

- Will this delete the sub or largely affect the sound system? Seems like sheet metal in front of a sub would make a less than ideal noise

- Latch points and access to store/charge a portable fridge. It would be cool to come up with a kit that would put some plug in outlets into the frame so it would be a quick "unplug/plug and go"

- Creating access ports on the back wall. I could see a lot of people considering running an AUX lithium battery which people place inside the cab. It would be nice to have access to run wiring in through the bed as some people have done.

- Lockable storage options on the storage areas would be nice. Smash and grabs are rising. Not everyone has the ability to park in a garage. I know Denver Airport is notorious for break in's. Not a lot of lockable storage options inside the Ranger unlock the F150.

- Custom Seadek options. You can get those crazy margins like Yeti lol. This one is kind of a joke but I bet you would make good money on a few colors of Seadek options. People love customization options and people will put Seadek on everything 😂

I also would like an option for a dedicated space for our dog. We currently use a dog “hammock.” It covers the whole back seat and makes it hard to get to things under and behind the seats.

We are beginning the R&D process, on Monday, for our 6th-gen Ranger Crew Cab Rear Seat Delete. It will be very similar in design and function to our current Gladiator version. It will be extremely light weight and durable with the main panels being 3mm 5052 aluminum and the support structure being 3mm mild steel. Textured black powder coating and Mil-Spec liner will be the finish options.

More details on the design can be seen on our Gladiator product pages:
You guys have been very helpful with feedback and suggestions while we develop products for this market. We know rear seat deletes are not for everyone, but if this is something you would use, please let me know your use case and what features would make it work better for you.

We will also develop accessories, mounts, etc. that work with this product. Here's what we were working on yesterday as an example.

Here are some photos of our Gladiator version for reference.

My goal would be a clear flat lower platform with recessed aircraft L-track along both the front and back edges, going full width (door to door). That way I can secure a dog crate or any hard cargo like storage bins. I have no need for a fridge, though many buyers would like the option to mount a slide on the right CURB side, for easy access when parked along a street.

So the bottom platform would be pretty much solid except for flush access panels to the two factory storage bins. A rear molle panel is great for all the small stuff like pouches, fire extinguisher, etc.

In the past I have fabricated wood platforms from Baltic birch, and added a strong cargo barrier behind the front seats, I have sold all my woodworking tools and no longer want to go that route! So with my RR I need lots of good solid adjustable tie down points along the bottom. I would probably buy just the bottom panel first, then wait to see if I really needed the bulkhead panel.

Thanks for doing this, I think it will be a popular product, for those of us who use the bed for truck stuff or really need additional inside secure storage in a controlled environment. The existing Ranger cabin storage volume is pure crap….

As with all of our MASS (Modular Adaptable Storage System) products, we incorporate patterned tie down points. We use the same pattern throughout our product line so the mounts/accessories/slides are all transferrable to different vehicles. We use the same "grid" that L-track uses (1" spread). In some of our products, we actually cut out a "dogbone" that is two holes of the L-track pattern. That way, you get the benefit of L-track without the expense and drawbacks. That's still a tradeoff, though. The extrusion is stronger than the plate.

That being said, it seems like you're mostly after the ability to secure things to the floor, moreso than the L-track itself. Our seat deletes have round holes through the top plate that line up with threaded plates below the surface. That way, nothing is protruding above the floor and the holes are small enough that things can't fall into the holes. It has worked great thus far. It's a lot easier to clean this way as well. The L-track seems to hold dirt and dog hair in the creases, etc.

We will continue down the current path as that's what is expected with the commercial clients, but please feel free to continue suggestions. We're definitely paying attention to all of this. Thanks for the feedback!

Something id like to buy but does not seem available would be a rear seat "floor levelling" kit.

The main problem with the ranger Raptor is when you flip up the rear seat theres no easy way to slide something in due to the uneven floor. Would be kick ass to have a fold out \ Slide out plate or something of the likes that would just make it a flat surface from door to door when the seat is flipped up.

Best of both worlds when hunting but can still be used as a daily driver IMO.

Be happy to beta test for you guys when my raptor arrives, should be here this month
Something like this? This is what the early Super Duty trucks had.

I would be ordering right away when they are up on the site. The pup hates the back seats currently. Would be mostly using for that but would like to either L-Track options, recessed or not. Or measurements on spacing to some pre-threaded holes to have some L-Track drilled by my friends some at Freedom Coast in SoCal. Would be hard mounting my CFX45 on the passanger side with my Yeti 1000. Dog bed behind driver, or when I head to the Mojave / 395, have a smaller toolkit in the truck, lashed to additional L track.

Hopefully have a simple solution as well to retain OE Sub Location. Would be great to have this be a simple install. Hope to see this soon! My GSD will thank you a million lol
Attached is a photo of the "OEM Back Wall" version we produce for the Gladiator. It retains the Gladiator's sub and plastic wall panel. This is what is in my Gladiator now and I really like it. Unfortunately, the Ranger's back wall is not as finished as the Gladiator, so we may need to build some panels to make it look more presentable. As always, our panels aren't just visual. They'll have attachment capability as well.

Please see my recent reply to John for an explanation on the attachment holes. I'm confident it will provide what you're looking for.

It may be hard to see in the photo below (very bottom of the photo), but there are removable side panels that are attached with thumb screws (not installed in this photo). Personally, I don't even install those on my vehicles. I really like the easy side access to the area below the panels and when the doors are shut, that prevents anything from falling out. Would any of you guys be interested in these removable side panels?

Got it! Does a Ranger version of our Gladiator system shown here look like it would work for your needs? Thanks!

One more suggestion, please leave adequate clearance behind the front seats, we use that space for all sorts of bulky items - purse, laptop, “possible bag”, emergency starter box, shoebox with Kleenex, a 1 gallon plastic bucket with cleaners and rags, etc. I would hate to lose access there, normally the seats are half way forward and access is barely acceptable and not nearly as easy as in my old Land Cruiser 200. The Ranger cabin is tight….. admittedly some of the stuff I already carry on the floor could work on the platform too, unless I have two dogs loaded.

it would be cool to have two front platform sections that extend far forward, with piano hinges, so you could flip them up past 90 degrees if you needed the OEM floor room vs the extra platform room. Did I make that clear? It’s a little fuzzy even in my head…… I really don’t want to lose the use of the truck floor immediately to the rear of the front seats. I think the ramp with openings is for air flow, is that correct? Please explain. It looks like a dirt and hair trap to me, how easy is access to clean under it with a shop vac?

And I do like quick access to the otherwise wasted space right at the doors openings this is perfect for small stuff like bungee cords or even snacks….

Thanks,

The panels immediately behind the seats have the MOLLE cutout pattern on them. It's mostly for weight savings and air pass through, but we definitely have people mount MOLLE stuff to them. As for not losing the space behind the seat, at first thought, that may be contradictive to the purpose of this product. We are intending to create the largest flat platform possible that is sturdy enough to secure big heavy things. If you are looking for a "half depth" platform, that is probably not going to be a good fit for this system. I'm not saying that wouldn't work, or that we wouldn't make something like that, it just won't be this product.

I don't know what our mounting options are for the Ranger yet, but once we get into it I will have a better idea of what the product will look like.

Thanks for the feedback! We appreciate it.

I wish our seats were the 60/40 split. I want this but still keep 1 seat for my son to sit in the back. I wonder if there is a way to make like a custom 40 side.

I agree. I would do the same for my personal setup. We have had similar requests in the Wrangler/Gladiator world. For obvious reasons, we will not be installing, or providing an option. for any type of seating attached to the rear platform. I would highly advise against that in every way possible. It isn't worth putting loved ones at risk. I understand your need, but that isn't something we will be able to facilitate.

Alright, here's what the truck looks like without the seats installed. Pardon the dirt. This one gets beat on nearly every weekend. First impression, there is a ton of space back here without the seat. This will make for a really great storage area.

Here is where your opinion counts. We have some options to consider while designing this platform.

Would you rather keep the OEM jack in the OEM location or would you rather have the extra platform space and remove the jack?

Would you rather remove the subwoofer or work around it?

Another option would be for us to provide "patch panels" that take up the space for the jack and/or sub if you wanted to remove those (or didn't have the sub), but that will add to the cost. We probably wouldn't be able to make those components optional just due to the way they'll need to attach to the platform. They would just be included with the product and you could choose to use them or not.

What do you think?

I think a great option would be to remove the factory subwoofer and install an amp rack that ties in to the subwoofers mounting points

Ditto. This for the win. Bizarre that Ford didn't do a split seat. Would be great to customize the seat-vs-storage as life changes or need arise. Dang.
