If you do use the vehicle for some towing sporadically do you need to change the tune? Or can you just drive it not aggressively and be okay?

I recommend changing the tune. Everyone tows different so I just tell people go back to stock or get a tow map (safe add less power/torque than a bigger power performance tune)

When just switching maps what all does that entail? Like time and effort wise is what I mean.

If on a laptop, it's as easy as opening up VCM Editor and loading the tune, then clicking write. It take 3min 30sec.

If on a phone you'll use TDN. Pick the tune and select flash. Takes about 8min

I was pretty surprised how quick it is. On my laptop its about 3 or 4 minutes like Winfield said. Im used to mk7 golf stuff on the accessport which used to take over 10 minutes. I still would love on the fly map switching like my gr86 had but for now this isn't bad.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a tune, one question I have is many folks seem to think the ford performance tune helps out with the transmission shift mapping, does the goose tune help in this dept or does it keep stock mapping and shift points?

Also, best fuel I can get up here is 94 octane, is that good enough?

Yes it does. I remap the trans as well. And if there are specific changes you want to see, you can voice those to me and we can see what we can do about it.

94 is good. IF that's the best you can get, then that's what we have to work with!
