So I'm having trouble taking off the factory tie downs, since I have a spray in bed liner. Before I accidentally strip them out, do I use a T50 or an M8 Allen for those? Also, any tips for breaking them loose with factory bed liner sprayed on and in them?

Got my order in, I only did the passenger side panels (at least for now) and installed. I have a infant car seat in the back of my Ranger full time so it makes it about impossible to keep anything behind or under the seats and use when needed. I had a bunch of clutter in the backseat because of this. No more! Thanks to the panels I was able to mount this bag above the wheel well in the back and store/organize everything i had under the rear seats and in my back seats that I may need to use (i.e. tie downs, flags, air compressor, jumper cables, hitch ball and pin etc).

Good question. I absolutely hate when bedliners are sprayed like that. Mine was, too. Pretty sure mine was done at the dealership and not at Ford. Good installers will remove those bolts and plug the holes first.

I would suggest cutting around the outer perimeter of each bolt with a razor knife. That's what I did on mine and it worked well. Then, you can actually peel the coating off of the bolt head. It should come off pretty easily once you get all the way around the bolt head.

You may be able to cut a circle around the threads and pull out the polyurea with needle nose pliers. Oddly, that stuff is easy to pull off once the hard candy shell has broken.

i was on your site and noticed it says mounts to the factory rail system? what does that mean? i don't have the factory tie down system, if that is what it means, i have just the few little loops in the bed that come in the basic trucks. how do i mount the side panels in the bed?
