Took our annual Heat escape tour from Tampa Florida to Green Bay Wisconsin last month. 2nd trip in my 2024 RR.

2 1/2 Days on the road and normal highway speeds of 75-80mph. 1450 miles each way through Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana an d Illinois to Wisconsin.

Average mileage on the highway section was 20MPG! And that with the FP Tune running 91/93 Octane gas. Pricey in Illinois and Indiana, but she ran fine despite the Temps in the 90’s most days.

Great ride and the Adaptive Cruise with Stop/Go make traffic jams in Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago and Milwaukee a piece of cake!

Nice looking truck. I'll be driving my 25' Lariat with 2.7l EB from New Jersey to Punta Gorda, FL soon. I am pretty interested in the MPG's I'll get on this trip.

3000mi trip Northern California to Western Montana and back with lots of diversions in 2025 2.7L Lariat FX4. Lots of 80mph speeds, and dirt roads in 4wd High. Averaged 24mpg over the whole trip burning 87 octane.

I too share the impressive mileage and someone inevitably questions me.

If you exceed 70 mph you will take a big hit on mpg… I know this isn’t realistic 🤣
In the 60-70mph range on highway trips I’m seeing 25-27 mph with my 2.7L

WTF? You calling me out on this? If you are, I don't know WTF you think you know about my RR and my trip, but I know what I was averaging and I know what MPG I was getting. Take your little toy truck and play with the little guys.

No one said anything about you… sounds like you’re lacking in other things. Grow up

Yeah, made my 3000 mi trip several times in my 2019 2.3Ltr 2WD Ranger Lariat and got in the mid 20's. Was a nice ride for what it was. RR brings several more levels of great to the party. So glad I lucked into this when I wasn't even really looking for a RR at the time!

This used to be such a great Forum. Smart ass know it alls are everywhere with their know nothing comments. Bye all!
Lighten up Francis. He was merely saynig that its hard not to drive under 70 to get good gas mileage. I dont know how you cant get what he said and then you went for left on your responce. Seemed odd.

Michigan to Arizona, 1900 miles. 20.6 mpg on stock tune and on 87 octane. To me the cost of the performance tune and the cost of 91/93 is not a good deal.

Yeah I have the performance tune and have questioned at times the reason for upgrading. 87 octane is about a dollar a gallon cheaper than 93. Although I have gotten pretty good gas mileage on the highway when just cruising getting about 20 mpg. But still the 93 octane is pricey. I have owned "performance" cars all my life so it just seemed the thing to do. You do not buy a "Raptor" or C8, Shelby etc if you are worried about gas mileage.
