2025 Ford Ranger XLT Arrived

I ordered a 2025 Ford Ranger XLT in March of 2025. Dealership stated build will take some time. Unit arrives Monday of this week set a pick up date. Ford puts a stop sale order on Ford Rangers built between certain dates in July due to side Airbag shield not installed. Ford has really been going through issues with all segments with recalls and poor quality control. Has anyone received notice of this issue?

Thank you for your reply. Yes from the letter I received from dealer in regards to this issue which i tried to attach the repair will not be available until the 4th quarter of fiscal year. Basically vehicles built in the month of July are affected from what was stated

I think the non black out package breaks the look of the truck up. Black Fender lips, Probably more durable too.

Ran my 2025, built in May, through the Ford Oasis system; no recalls. (Ford tech)

I checked my VIN on the NHTSA website and it shows my truck is on the recall list. Also received a notification from carfax.

Mine is affected (2024) and build date of 10/24

Same here, Build 10/24.
I didn't actually get a notice, but it shows up in the Ford Pass App under '"Service".

My truck has the same side curtain airbag recall… I’m glad I took delivery before this came out! As far as recall and QC issues, I feel differently. This is a design issue, not a QC issue. And the NHTSA signed off on this vehicle, and then either they or Ford decided it wasn’t quite sufficient, so… recall! Stop sale! Given the complexity of modern vehicles, I think they do a pretty good job with this stuff. I am very happy with my truck!

My guess it was revealed in actual accident data, not controlled testing. And maybe it was only one vehicle, but why take a chance when it could happen again?

Remember the Takata air bag fiasco:

"from model years 2002 through 2015. Some of those airbags could deploy explosively, injuring and even killing car occupants.

A total of 67 million airbags have been recalled."

Friend just got the same notice. Looked up my Oct 2024 Ranger and the recall is in the Bin recall lookup and also showed up in my Ford pass today.
