Carplay iOS 26 clock widget

So with the release of iOS 26 carplay supports widgets.

and of particular importance is there is now the possibility of having a nice big clock on your nice big display

sure the Apple clock widget is ok

but there is an app by Clockology that allows you to make your own custom widgets, especially clocks, hence the name.

after more time than I care to admit. I present my new clock faces.

I think I’ll stick with the first one below.

and who knew you could take screenshots of your CarPlay display?

I’m confused on where you are getting iOS 26 and how AirPlay ties into this. Can you give a bit more detail? My iPhone has the latest iOS at 18.7 and I see no changes to CarPlay.

Go to setting and software update on your iPhone. iOS 26 came out on the 15th I believe.

Sorry I don’t know why I wrote AirPlay. Changed the thread title.

Apple changed the os naming convention to be the year, of the release. Good until the end of the century I guess.

it should come as no surprise that Apple releases a new iOS each year along with a new phone

i was sleeping on this too until I saw a thread on here.

maybe they will add a third digit For the next century?

you will now find under CarPlay the ability to install widgets and one of your CarPlay screens will be a widget screen.

you can have up to five widgets but only one can display at a time.

you swipe up or down on the screen to get the next widget

there is an Apple clock widget which has several variations, fairly garden variety stuff but still much better than before because there was nothing.

the above clock is running as a widget through the Clockology software

Ok, I see it. I guess I never bothered to look at the bottom of the screen to where it was at. Thanks for the clarification.

I installed 26, but when I click on the widgets section on my phone I just get spinning...I'll have to mess with it later.

i am using the clockology app, don’t use the custom widgets app

you can create.a basic clock face fairly quickly and while there are plenty of examples and clockfaces you can download , helpful as examples, , this watch face is custom

i created the watch hands, ford logo,FX4 logo, and larger numbers around the dial in Inkscape
