Just had the RSI Smartcap installed , I had one on my 2021 ranger tremor... I kept the rack and had installed on the new one. I love these tops ..no cracking, no chips 700 lb static and 300lbs in motion weight limits. Stainless steel

near Crossville, had to go to CA to help my Dad, When I get back I need to find raptor buddies and places to go. I am hoping tp do Raptor assault when in the west... our trucks were built to rip up CA, Nevada Utah etc.
Thanks for the looking good......I got a 0% credit card for 2 yrs.. that's how I afforded it:)

I've read a lot about the rangers needing extra bed support brackets for toppers. Did you need them?

if your truck is built before a certain date, ford says you need them or they won't cover cracked bed or stuff related.

@schreck41 , you have the upgraded bed. you don't have to worry about the braces being added since your truck is a 25 model. my 24 also has the upgraded bed so i don't have to worry either. my son's 24 needs the braces added though

Looks awesome and I know they are BA. The only thing with me is I feel like is sits like an inch or two to high and doesn't match the roofline of the Ranger Raptor well. Or I would already have one on mine

Good deal, kind of what I was thinking.. found some pictures of what the bad ones looked like and didn't see anything like that under my truck when I took a peak. I like that smartcap, it looks great btw! I went with the Westin EXP because of the pass through rear window and remote lock and unlock rear window. Installing this afternoon. Thanks!

I am betting it’s a noticeable drop.
ā€˜My headache rack dropped mine 1-2 mpg .
It’s bound to create some additional air drag.
ā€˜How much it effects it is likely going to depend on wind direction and speed on a given day.

In my area Kansas / Oklahoma the wind blows 15-30 mph about everyday it seems.
A 30 mph head wind running 75-80 with my headache rack I see mine drop into the 14 mpg rang.

Around town and some hyway with 10-20 mph winds I typically average in the 15-16 mpg.

Prior to the headache rack I could get closer to 17-18 in similar driving.

I would love to hear from the OP on how that topper effects his mileage.
What he ends up seeing.

Mine isn’t a Smartcap, but similar… Nghtowl Offroad.
I put in a Decked Drawer a couple months before installing my topper, then did the Ford tune a few months later. I couldn’t tell a huge difference in mileage with each of those additions. I averaged about 16.4.
Recently I got sick of the sag in the back (even after adding 1ā€ progressive springs in the rear), so I removed the Decked drawer and replaced with the American Adventure Labs molle panels and BASE rails. My truck is back to level, and my mileage is around 17.5 mpg.
