Hey guys. 2025 RR with a little over a thousand miles on it, wanting to do a tune. Everything is stock, and I’m torn between these two tuners:

Livernois mycal :
https://www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP631178/2024-2025-ford-3-0l-ranger-raptor-mycal-tuner

Vs

Goosetuned
https://www.goosetuned.com/product-page/bronco-raptor-ranger-raptor-custom-tuning-package

Is goose tuned really worth paying double the price of the livernois? Livernois say +90 hp, and goose is getting +110 (with intercooler) so they really seem about the same at the end of the day?

Livernois is $699 vs goose at $1400, what am I getting with goose that justifies the price being double?

they both tune engine and trans, eliminate start stop, and remove the speed limiter.

I don’t think I will bother adding a intercooler, pipes, and Intake any time soon, but will probably swap in one step colder plugs at 10k miles

Note Livernois 90+ HP is on 93 octane. Goose +110whp 95wtq based on 91 oct. Currently running the FP tune. Once Goose is released via Cobb I will be switching to Goose. Heard nothing but good things on both vendors to be honest.

I ran 5 years on a 5* tune on my F150 3.5 and it was great. They are doing a sale right now, with the sale basically the same price as Livernois. They will also adjust tunes as needed.

as a side note, did you ever get trail turn working? I’m having the same issue you had with the as build numbers being completely deferent than the reference info on the forscan spreadsheet

I've done a lot of research on this when I was looking at tuning options for my 2.7, yes goose doesnt currently tune the 2.7 rangers, don't be a weird raptor kid and rub it in.

Livernois-I asked specifically for any reviews on Livernois tuning, crickets, i dont think a single Ranger forum member has used them. They will be safe though as they developed the Ford Procal Tune and tuner, their 93 is just their canned ford procal tune adjusted for 93oct from 91oct.

Goose-Custom tunes for your exact vehicle. He builds baselines and gets to know the ins-outs of each platform by actually owning and driving the vehicles he tunes, then gives you the baseline/canned tune and adjusts from that tune for your specific engine/trans/vehicle after data logging. His work and reviews speaks for itself across multiple forums for different platforms for being safe/reliable while delivering real power upgrades. During my research i found very few customer issues, and all were addressed quickly and satisfactorily. Countless glowing reviews.

Have nothing but great things to say about Goose tune! Very responsive. Usually within an hour response time for tune updates. He makes the process as simple as possible and the results are amazing!
For those of you coming from a Procal tune, you'll need to take it back to the stock tune before doing your initial read or the software won't recognize it.

Just throwing in ZFG as an option, im sure nothing wrong with the others but I love my ZFG 93 performance tune and they are the go to for the Explorer ST and that platform is close to ours.
Performance is amazing, tranny shifts better, AS/S turned off, and gear icon instead of D in normal mode
