Hey all I was in a forum weeks ago discussing tranny issues and more than one other member described the same noise I was hearing when the transmission is cold.
one member described it as a Hooonk, I’d say that is accurate.
In warm weather quiet and maybe only the first 5 min of driving but now that we had a 20 degree day it got loud and took about 20 minutes to stop hearing during shifts (down or up).
I’ve searched the “manual” on the truck, no help locating the tranny dipstick, is this a sealed unit I need to open the fill plug to check?
I had to cut this video way down to get it to load the file. Sorry for the cross talk with my son, you may have to turn up that volume to really hear it.
any advice or shared experience is appreciated.
