2025 Ranger Raptor - Burning Rubber Smell From Air Vents

Anybody else get a burning rubber smell through the air vents when driving while it’s snowing out? It has happened a few times now, and it seems to always be when it’s snowing.

I’ve noticed it recently yes. I live in a cold environment and heat is always on. It goes in next week for a recall and is on the list for them to check out. I’m around 48k.

Keep me posted if they find anything. I’m at about 6k miles.

I wonder if it could be the serpentine belt slipping a little when it’s actively snowing out and the belt is still cold. But I don’t ever hear any squealing.

Hmm, I don't have this on mine. I do have a bit of a burning smell (cats?) after it's heated up but only on the exterior after getting out of the truck. I did get my truck frame oiled so bit of that cooking with heat now as well. But definitely nothing coming into the cabin.

I’ve noticed this too. Only when I am driving in the snow. Super strange. I have 3300 miles on my truck.

Mine is around the passenger side. Not through the vents. I smell it if I have to get something out from that side.

Same behaviour here, cold climate as well, might be when snowing yes.

I noticed it when i stopped driving and waiting 1 min in idle before shutting it down

I'm glad someone posted on this, I thought it was because of my spirited driving and the antirust coating getting a little hot.

Same for me, I smell it when I come to a stop or slow way down.

I did a lanolin coating on my truck several months ago, but the smell of burning lanolin and this rubber smell are completely different.

That's a lot of miles! I thought I had a lot at almost 30k miles on my 2024 RR.
And I live in NH and don’t have that smell.

I'm having this issue as well on my 24 rr with 9,000 KMS. Noticed it after it warned up from some extreme cold. Very strong the last couple days.

My burning rubber smell comes from the outside on passenger side.
