looks Great what size tires??
If you click on the OP's photo and zoom in, look very carefully at the front tire and you can see the side wall just enough to make out 285/70R17, so stock KO3's on Method 709's.

Ford Ranger New wheels for the new truck: 17" Method 709 wheels +25 offset 1766970912148-0i

I have some Method 705's in 17x8.5 ET35 on order from TireRack (est. to arrive in Jan 2026), I'll post a pic as well once they arrive and get installed.

I chose Titanium Grey for the 705's as I really like that wheel pattern in colors OTHER than black (don't get me wrong, I do like black wheels, but not on every car and not with certain wheel spoke patterns).

I personally think the rounded trapezoid pattern on the 705's mirror's the boxy look of the RR (aka boxy shapes with rounded corners), but we'll see.

What offset did you buy?

ET35 (+35mm). GOAT recommends no greater than P35~P40 offset (P is positive) for proper tire clearance even with lifts, especially when running larger tires. +25 works, but most will have to do some modification if they intent to fully flex it out and you absolutely will either need to modify the fender flares / liners at full compression OR use strut spacers when running larger tires.

Some people don't do that, they mostly drive on roads or lighter dirt trails, so they don't need the full articulation or clearance for jumping. You can get away with some stuff if your use is limited, but if you fully utilize the suspension to its limits...+35 is about as far as you can go without having to cut stuff underneath.

Note that is for the Raptor though, I'm not 100% sure on the limits for the regular rangers like the XLT or Lariats as their suspension and fenders are different.

Lion77 do you feel getting an alignment on +35 wheel with stock tire size on a RR is necessary?

Any downside to powder coating the OEM non-beadlock rims? I think bronze would complement the Shelter Green Ranger Raptors. Something like the Prismatic Powders Bronze Chrome.

I have done it on a few vehicles over the years. Never been a problem that I am aware of.
I never had any issue with it.

Just takes a week or so if your local powder coating shop is quick with their turnaround times.
Meaning the biggest challenge for some is not having a second set of wheels and tires to put on the truck while they get the OEM set powder coated.

Ballpark cost with dismounting, powder coating and remounting and balancing.
Your looking at around a $600-1000.00, cost can vary a bit since there is quite a few options when it comes to powder coating.

Ie.
Do you want a primer coat
Do you want a clear coat on top
etc.

I would not think so just for ET35 wheels, so unless you are changing suspension parts, i.e., lifts, reinforced tie rods, 3.0 steering rack etc. then yes. I'll provide feedback once I get my 705's on, but my suspension is stock.

I think it would not hurt to have it checked.
Changing the offset will change or exaggerate the factory alignment specs.

I could not find a spec sheet showing the specified ranges, but this will maybe help illustrate what I am trying to say here.
Found this over on the 5G Ranger forum .
The added offset won’t effect caster but will effect camber and toe all be it very slightly.

Pushing the wheels out 20mm with +35 offset wheels will exaggerate whatever setup is on the truck from the factory with +55 offset.

Is it enough to take it out of spec range, is what is really hard to say or know without checking it on an alignment rack.

I think black wheels look good on a "blackout truck", aka everything is black. I also think they look good on vehicles with lighter body colors (silver, white, light blues / greys, reds etc.).

I do NOT like black wheels on darker colors like my shelter green. It's just too much dark and kind all blends in, so that's why I ordered the 705's in Matt Titanium vs. black. Maybe eventually I'll have them powder coated in a medium flat bronze, but I'll rock the Titanium color for a while and see how I like it against the shelter green.

Like the OP's raw aluminum 709's, I think the lighter wheel colors work better on Shelter Green since it's a relatively dark color, yah it glows nice in the sun, but I still wouldn't call it a "light color". I really like how the 709's look on the OP's rig, I just don't want +25mm offset and the 709's are close to 30lbs as they are meant more for crawling / wheelin' applications than Baja / Dunes / Rally style use.

705's were the lightest bead grip I could find in +35mm offset and bead grip is a requirement of mine for the dunes to maximize flotation (and be street legal / low maintenance), so I can push some speed in corners without de-beading. Nice to have for dirt as well as you can probably push a bit lower pressure than 30 without de-beading. I like the added reliability. Now if only it was Jan 17th so they would ship!

I ordered my 705's from Tire Rack (got 5x, so the spare has the same off-set), includes the lugs and hub centric rings.
