You don't have to have an account to see it. Any unshipped orders are just waiting on powder and assembly at this point. If you want to message me your order number, I can dig up specifics.

Instagram can be funky. I don't have an account and when I click your profile name / "view more on instagram" I land at a login prompt. Clicking on the blue "view profile" button, however, does not prompt for login.

When shared via an embed, it does play, but only once and then prompts to log in to view it again. I believe a page refresh of these forums is needed to replay.

basically, depending on how you navigate to instagram it will prompt you for a login. Not very user friendly on instagrams end.

I think it may be how the forum is changing the URL to be an embedded video. It won't let me paste in just the URL w/o converting it to a video.

https://www.[instagram].com/p/DSFKIAvCCkI/ - remove the brackets around "instagram".

That's way too complicated. 😂

The spacers do not change for these taller risers. We have always needed to use both holes with the RAILS.

Noted!

Anything is possible, but the current RAILS would be way too wide for what you're describing. Notice the down flanges at the ends of the crossmembers that attach them to the risers. Those flanges are the reason this assembly is so stout. We could definitely sacrifice strength to make it more flexible, but that is probably not something I am interested in. We'll just have to start on the taller setup and see how it evolves. To be fair, I didn't think we would be able to use the existing crossmembers with these risers either. 😂 So, anything is possible!
I was just in Maui and every light truck had thule or Yakima racks to I presume handle surfboards, stand up paddle boards etc.

i can see having an add on ( yellow) to get more width on the top cross member to get a wider top.

i would be happy with a bit narrower width red which I agree might look a bit sexier

a side mollie sheer panel option would really stiffen up everything

I can see some wanting to slide stuff in top so maybe plyethylene and others wanting something soft and sticier, foam.

i like the look of this Yakima HD rack setup.

@AdventureLab I sent a email back in Oct to your support folks basically asking if the low rise bed rails could be paired with a small spacer or if the inner side of the rails could fit my Realtruck Retrax bed cover, the 10" risers might clear my retrax but not 100%. Ideally I would love to have the low rails. Here are the photos of my bed cover over the rear and front covers.

I think you could use a few additional spacers (they're 3mm thick each) in the stack to get the vertical rails up and over the tonneau. Looks easy enough. We could throw those in for you if you want to call in and speak to our CS team. They can actually add the individual parts to the order.

You may have to slightly clearance the spacer that's inline with the top surface of the tonneau, but that should pretty easy. They're aluminum, so they're easy to trim.

I wish you were closer to Utah. This is something we could knock out for you in a few minutes at the shop.

Not currently. We will change out the small mounting plates at the bottom of the risers to account for the t-slot spacing. I haven't had anyone interested in doing that yet. If you are, and don't mind pulling some measurements, we should be able to knock out those new parts quickly.
So if I understand, you are saying you will just make smaller mounting plates and that is how it will mount? I was hoping to mount the rack to the t-slots.

@AdventureLab Let me know if you need any others. Outside width is 1/16 difference from mounting point by the rear window to mounting point near tailgate.
Probably could just do 58 2/16 for both front and back measurements.

For tonneaus with T-slot, I would like to mount with the T-slot like we did on this Raptor R, but it is going to take a few different parts. Your measurements should be good enough for me to get an idea of what it would take. I designed this system so that we could change very few pieces to accommodate multiple mounting scenarios like this. I'll make a task to try to figure this out over the weekend.

In your measurements where you're measuring between the slots, is your tape measure on the inside edge of the opposing t-slot?

Appreciate you working this out. I will definitely order when ready. Surprised not many others with Bak Revolvers with t-slots asking. I was under the empression they sold more with the t-slots.
I measured outside edge to outside edge of the t-slots.

Also, after looking at your picture I'm wonder if you can notch 1/2 out of the bottom of the vertical post so it could sit flush with the bed cap? My t-slot does not look as stout as that brand and i think it would have a cleaner look and possibly help with a stronger dynamic mount.
Thks

@AdventureLab Any thoughts on my last post with picture of mockup with the notch? ☝
It's definitely possible and would probably work well, but there are a couple of issues:
  1. It would require multiple components specific to that tonneau cover. We have to be very careful with our R&D time. It's extremely expensive to develop a new product like this. So, when we do develop new products, we need to make sure the market is large enough to make that work pay off. Otherwise, it's hard to make sure our crew has a job. When we work with subsets (customers that want/need a bed rack system) of subsets (customers with tonneau covers) of subsets (customers with a specific tonneau cover) of customers, it has a much smaller market size and is less likely to keep the bills paid.
  2. We don't develop products needing this many specific measurements outside of the shop. In my experience, this can become extremely expensive trying to ship iterations of components across the country.
When I designed the attachment brackets that we're using in most of our racks, it was designed to be flexible and allow us to switch out a minimal number of pieces to fit multiple vehicles. Unfortunately, the design your suggesting would replace all of those components with unique parts. I'm all for doing that, but we either have to do it as a custom project (billed time) or know we're going to sell a reasonable amount of them.

@AdventureLab ok, that's understandable. Maybe the mounting bracket could fit so it does the same thing?
If not then just let me know when you have something ready that will work with the t-slots and I'll order. Trip coming up.

Building it to work with the T-Slot is a piece of cake. That was always in the design plan, so it was originally built to swap out a small number of parts to accomplish that. I'll try to get it into CAD in the next few days based on your measurements and see what it looks like. I'm hoping to make a "T-slot Mount" that works for all of the Ranger T-slot tonneau covers. I'm hoping there isn't a huge variance between them.

Do you happen to know what t-slot bolts work with that slot? There are a few different sizes on the market.

How much space is between the front rack and the the rear window? Can you confirm that a connecting piece isn't needed between the front and rear crossbars or uprights? Can Standard T-slot adapters be used to mount things on the crossbars? Any plans to make a higher upright so that the crossbars are aligned with the roof of the cab?

@AdventureLab I called realtruck support and the guy emailed me a diagram of the t-slot measurements. Hope it helps. Sorry its a little grainy when you zoom in. I had to screenshot it from his email.
