I have had a nonstop issue with my driver side Husky floor mat. It always uncips from the factory mat clip at the driver outside clip.

I see many people have the same complaint. One person fixed theirs by swapping the clip from the oem carpeted mat while others, like me, put some tape around the mat clip in the truck hoping that would give enough grip to keep the husky liner from popping loose and moving around.

This is the offending clip wrapped in some painter's tape.

@TripleAliners sent me some of their floor mats to do a comparison against the husky mats. Hopefully i never have the clip issue again though I dont think i will because their clip had to be pushed on and made an audible snap where the husky mat never did that, even when brand new.

This is the Husky mat clip.

This is the TripleALiners clip. There is a slihht size difference between the two parts so we know one thing husky needs to work on.

As with the other day, a box magically appeared at my house this morning. (I am huge fan of boxes of vehicle stuff showing. )

Very similar packaging to when i recieved the husky mats last year. And these also need to sit in the sun to relax and go to their natural form fitting shape. A few minutes in the morning sun while i vacuumed the truck to prepare for the new mats.

Mats are enjoying the sun.

Here is top and bottom shots of the driver's mats. The TripleALiners mat is in the right and the Husky is on the left. Both mats have some good things going on and are similar shape. The husky mat has some large ribs that hold gravel and sand that falls of your shoe when you get in the truck and the triplealiners mat has a large lip around the edges that also holds rocks and sand on the mat. The triplealiners mat has an extension at the edge that sits along the door though, which is nice. That is where the husky mat having its clip issues always slid around the most.

TripleALiners driver mat installed. I like that extension that follows the seat base a little bit. For some reason i get lots of sand and grass there and kick that corner getting in.

Once again we have a noticeable piece on the passenger mat where the door edge is. We have similar texture between the two mats and the large ribs on the husky but taller tray sides on the TripleALiners mat.

The husky still has the taller area up at the top where it sits under the glove box. That tall area is a positive if you have people who sit forward and rest their feet on that part of the floor because it keeps the carpet more covered.

Here is a close up of the texture on the two mats. Very similar looking.

I still like that edge piece that extends along the seat base.

Here is the two rear mats. The large rib on the edge of the husky mat looks like it would hold a spill better so had to go look at that are in-depth after i started writing this and the husky rear mat does have a substantially larger lip at that edge though everywhere else, the TripleALiners mat has more lip.

TripleALiners lips around their mat.

TheTripleAuners mat covers the carpeted rear seat base higher and has a more substantial lip under the rear of the front seat.

Rear mat installed. The lip in the front of the rear mat holds the bronco floor vent extensions facing upwards more so that may help rear passengers feel the air or heat more.

So, i am going to run these @TripleAliners mats for a year and see how thy do and feel. So far, I like the looks of their mats more and how they cover differently than the Husky mats as they cover areas that mean more to me.

And the big plus for the TripleALiners mats is the front driver mat clip actually clicking into place. I like the solid snap it made and look forward to not having to adjust the front mat each i get in the truck.

My oldest son is going to try out the hysky mats in his 2024 ranger stx 4x4. He has the rubber floor so no clip to worry about. He currently has my oem carpeted mats so the husky might work good for him.

Both Husky and TripleA look quite nice. They seem to be the newest stiffer more plasticky ones, that work better than the rubber previous ones.

- Our White 2019 CRV has rubberized Husky mats and the sides end up somewhat folded to the center leaving the sides unprotected.
- Our SILVER 2021 Crv has the newer stiff plastic Husky and work much better. They dont fold inwards.
My Ranger Wildtrak has Chinesium plasticky stiff mats that still work wonderful.

All need an additional rubber toe rest to prevent making a hole on the mats.

Maybe choose what its cheaper. Today there are hundreds products made for many brands in the same chinese factory.

Did my own comparison between the Triple A Liners floor mats vs the no name Amazon floor mats I had before.

Things I like: The Triple A mats had the little grippy nubs on the bottom that my Amazon mats did not. Although it wasn't ever a problem for me because the driver's mat is still locked in. But I suspect that if I regularly had passengers in the truck their mats would get shifted around with entry/ exiting. The Triple A mats should take care of this since they are quite grippy.

Also I prefer the look of the Triple A over the amazon. They just have a cooler lookin design in my opinion.

Negatives:
I did have a little bit of an issue with the passenger mat at first. While I did leave the mats out in the sun for 2 afternoons (albeit 60-70 degree days with varying sun) the passenger little flap that goes along the doorsill was still sticking up. I ended up heating it up with a hairdryer and getting it back down.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the Triple A mats. While I wasn't unhappy with my cheap Amazon mats, I do believe that the Triple As are a bit better.
