I have unique email addresses for everyone and with Costco Auto Insurance they use American Family Insurance. With the new Ranger purchased and placed on my old policy my email has been farmed out. Time to go shopping for new insurance.

Dont totally follow your post - but I use Progressive for my Ranger. Cheapest I found with the coverage I was looking for. Also super easy to apply.

I use Chubb for another vehicle (bundled with other policies). Great customer service, but much more expensive and only makes sense due to the other policies I bundle.

I switch almost every renewal depending on which company is cheaper. I've had State Farm, Progressive and now Geico all within the past 14 months or so. But I"m down to $90/ month for full coverage with Geico currently.

geico has oddly always ended up being the cheapest for the last 10 years. otherwise i have had all the big ones but progressive screwed us once when someone rear ended us so they are blocked from ever being called again.

I am trying to remember my service date while in the Coast Guard to qualify.
As I recall, the process was really simple. I only switched a little over a year ago, and it was really easy. I don't remember having to be being really specific about my service. All I know is we are now paying far less.

Oh, and my motorcycle insurance is also through USAA, but underwritten through Progressive. Saving me money.

Auto Owners. They have our vehicles, our house, and our exec. umbrella policy. My agent is an independent and this is one of his go-to's. I have had 2 homeowner claims with them and they were great to work with. Also had 1 auto accident claim and 3 windshields now and all went very well.

I have found through experience. Actually talk on the phone with an agent as they can actually compare tit for tat and tell you weather this or that is actually a necessity, explain the coverage, and you can get a vehicle rider for replacement if totaled for a like vehicle if you like with some. If you bundle home, auto etc... the rates for all will drop plus it's one payment for all to.

Every few years I have shopped around for the best rate. Seems there is no customer loyalty. I currently go through AARP they use Hartford. With the driving app on 3 cars I am pleased with the price. My Ranger is $748 for 6 months. Insurance is expensive in Michigan. Always shop around

You might consider evaluating your insurance company on cost, coverage, and service alone. Then, whatever company you choose, familiarize yourself with their policies and tools for setting preferences. For example, in the case of your American Family Insurance they have an opt-out policy which you seem to have missed: https://www4.dncsolution.com/DNE/Manager/OptOutCode/OptOut.aspx?el=5

I too have spent considerable time setting up separate mail accounts for various vendors, but after years of doing so the one thing that was obvious to me was that it did nothing useful regarding spam volume. My time is much better spent pouring through preference setting with any vendor or company I interact with, along with mail client rules and filters to manage what’s important to me that I see or don’t. That said, in this case it was helpful to know which company you overlooked the opt-out setting for.

State Farm now I pay $603 every 6 months for full coverage on my 2024 Ranger & 2018 Ford Fiesta.

The 2018 Ford Fiesta is my wife's car. She drives it 3 time a week, a mile and a half to the grocery store. LOL! it really doesn't need full coverage, but it makes my wife happy. :D
