The problem I found is that once you start looking for a decently equipped F150 4x4 XLT the price point makes the Ranger Raptor look like a steal. The Raptor is fully loaded for only a couple of thousand dollars more and in some cases I found it to be under. That is not even considering the upper trims packages like the lariat, platinum, etc.
I don’t know if that’s a problem with sales or not, but it certainly debunks the awful but pervasive rumor that rangers are so expensive you should just buy an f150 for the same money. As if people looking at lariat rangers would be tempted with an xl or stx f150…

Exactly.
Much prefer my RR to decent optioned XLT.

When replacing some high spec XLT F150s last fall, I was buying Lariat Rangers for 10k less then the same high spec XLT F150s.

I can’t help but notice some correlation with the Bronco market softening, the Ranger is picking up the slack and then some. I am positive Ranger production directly correlates to the stunted sales largely due to the overwhelming popularity the Bronco was dealing with in prior years 21-24 Model Broncoā€˜s were clearly getting the majority of the plants production capacity.

Now as demand for the Bronco continues to weaken, there is more and more capacity for building more and more Rangers.

Iā€˜ve read articles that lay some of the blame on the slip in f150 sales to lack of production.

but there is such a huge inventory of f150s

compare that to the Ranger inventory
That was definitely a problem at end of 25. Couldn’t find one anywhere that was close to equipped like I wanted. Ordered one and got exactly what I wanted, so worked out perfectly. Was definitely worth the 3 months wait

I didnt say that. I said Ford can suck it. I dont care if it's Ford or the dealers controlling the prices. They could have sold a RR and had a happy customer with advertising of said RR but they can "suck it" since they marked the price up. Simple.
its so crazy to me. My local dealership gave me mine for $1750 under MSRP

As of the end of Q1 2026 Ford is publishing Ranger production and sales as:

Q1 2026 Sales: 17,775 (+19.2%over Q1 2025)
Q1 2026 Production: 15,203 (don't know how this compares to 2025)

Other notes from Ford:
Ranger Production: 15,203
Bronco Production: 41,437
Bronco Sales: 31,197 (-4.3% compared to 2025)
Ford is producing 2.7 Broncos for each Ranger, Ford is selling 2.05 Broncos for each Ranger.

Inventory as of end of March 2026
Ranger: 12,900
Bronco: 42,600

Looks like Ford may be over producing Broncos, based on sales and inventory, and under producing Ranger based on the same data.

Is Ford ever going to devote any kind of marketing effort into Ranger? It is selling well with word-of-mouth "marketing", they could really take a bite out of Tacoma and the GM twins if they tried.
I actually saw a ford ranger commercial dedicated solely to the ranger on peacock a few days ago

that’s the first time I’ve ever seen it marketed

I got about 7k off the sticker in incentives. I paid 33 for my 40k truck. Is it a bunch of watching the shell in a financing shell game ? Maybe. But I feel like a killer deal.
