I did the doors myself, after watching Flaberdoopin on YouTube. Super easy and satisfying job. So I had about $75 in materials in it.
I paid a guy at the FORD dealership to do the roof so I had around $300 in it. Flaberdoopin covers this also, but it really didn’t look like fun.
It’s most noticeable in the car wash, I used the iPhone decibel app before and after. Reduced it by about 9 decibels. The doors feel and sound more solid when you close them.
Yeah, saw him do the roof and quickly rules that out as a DIY job. I'm thinking of tackling the floor and doors as I'm most concerned with road noise. I wonder if removing the seats and doing under the carpet will be a ROYAL pain?
What materials did you use?

Begin with the 4 doors, it's the easiest.

The youtuber (flappindolphin ?) saud the roof and doorsare the most important ones. The rear bulkhead is not that much of an improvement in his opinion.

For the roof, I would never had it done by myself...but if you have the recall for the side airbag...it's a good moment to ask if the dealer would do it for you at a decent price.

It is that much good (the rain !)

Yeah, I watched his videos and ruled out the roof. I want to reduce road noise to a minimum because I want to be able to take and make business calls while driving. I'm thinking the front floor and foot wells would help that a lot too.

I bought my raptor to replace a bronco. These things are whisper quiet compared to the multi piece top and frameless door windows in those!

Headliner is too much for me as well.

I have that recall about the side air bag, to add a protective shield. I asked my dealer to add soundproofing mats and he accepted.
There's a new recall for possible wiring issues in the headliner, was thinking about asking if they could do the sound deadening when they take care of that. Problem is they haven't released a fix yet so it might be a while.

Yeah I traded a built up JK for my RR and it was pretty damn loud as well.
