Yeah, saw him do the roof and quickly rules that out as a DIY job. I'm thinking of tackling the floor and doors as I'm most concerned with road noise. I wonder if removing the seats and doing under the carpet will be a ROYAL pain?I did the doors myself, after watching Flaberdoopin on YouTube. Super easy and satisfying job. So I had about $75 in materials in it.
I paid a guy at the FORD dealership to do the roof so I had around $300 in it. Flaberdoopin covers this also, but it really didn’t look like fun.
It’s most noticeable in the car wash, I used the iPhone decibel app before and after. Reduced it by about 9 decibels. The doors feel and sound more solid when you close them.
