I know that receiver well. That wheel is so satisfying.
Marantz 2285 with hd88 speakers. Amazing how good 50 year old hi fi's can sound. I have its little brother 2245 in the bedroom with hd55. Both recapped and built like tanks.

Please tell me more about this sail panel install! I want to install a Morel Maximo 3-way active set that I have waiting that I had bought to install in my Mustang, but didn't accomplish that before replacing the car with the RR. I'm considering installing tweeters in the factory location and modifying some sail panels for the midrange.

I wondered if these might possibly fit from the previous-gen Rangers. Might be a slim chance. https://frankiesautoelectrics.com.au/pages/search-results-page?q=ford%20ranger%20tweeter

I also thought about trying to source a pair of extra sail panels to use for modifying instead of tearing up my stock pair.

Question...If you all only did one layer of Siless, would choose the 200-mil hybrid or the max? For the doors and roof, should I also get the tape?

Myself I’d do just the 3 layer Max if you’re only wanting to do one and I’ve never used the tape.

How much needs to be purchased to do the 4 doors, maybe even under the headliner? I'm thinking of doing the two layers. When looking on Amazon, i'm seeing a 30sq/ft roll of Siless Max 120 mil and a 25sq/ft roll of Siless 3in1 hybrid 200 mil. There's also a bunch of other thicknesses but it seems like those are the ones people are installing.

Let me know if you want a NAV-TV ZEN POWER9 AMP/DSP - I'm a dealer for them, just ordered for my truck, waiting on back order.

Here’s a breakdown of the SD I used:
Box of each in the footages shown.
120mm on all the doors 1st then a layer of the 3in1 hybrid. On the roof I did a layer of 80mm and then a layer of 2in1 hybrid. And I used extra 80mm on the exterior of the door that faces the interior of the truck (the side that’s directly behind the door panel). The 120mm and 3in1 is on the exterior door skin inside the door. And a small amount of 80mm in the tailgate. Over the top but who gives a rip! It makes the tail gate shut with a thud.
Hope this helps ya!

Hmm, so you bought 4 different rolls. I think i might just go with the two rolls for now and just do the doors. I spent wayyyy too much money this month. How much left over did you have when doing the 4 doors with the 120 and 200 mil? Thanks so much for the reply.

If you just do your doors then you could go with just the first 2 options I listed, the 120mm and 3&1. Or you could always save a few bucks and just do 80mm and the 2&1. Either way you’ll love it! Makes the doors shut like a Lincoln (nice thud), brightens up the stereo, and is pure magic for outside noise.

I did the two thinner options in the headliner because the other stuff was just too thick and would’ve made installing the headliner a nightmare. It’s already cumbersome enough just wielding it back up into position. Even with the 2 thinner layers I had to shave the foam blocks (stiffeners) molded into the headliner to get it all attached back. The extra thick stuff would’ve made it WAY worse. It’s a tight install.
Do your doors now and head liner later. You’ll like the results!

Awesome, i'll spend the extra and get the 120 and 200, thicker the better. I see why the 80 would be better for the headliner, that will be the next project. I just wanna make sure I can do all 4 doors with the two rolls, in one of the pictures on amazon, it's saying 34 sq-ft for the doors on a truck.

Went for a drive today and one of the clips for the handle surround in the driver's door was rattling. Pulled the trim... only to have two of the three metal clips fall INTO the door panel

For some reason those clips didn't want to stay attached to the trim piece on that door specifically

Guess I'll be removing that panel again...
Same thing happened to me on two of the doors. I took off again put the metal clip in place and it falls out as soon as I pop it back in. Must be a defective clips.
