Not dead set on used at all. I drove a low mileage one yesterday that hadn't been through the detail shop at the dealer yet and it looked new. I've gotten some really good deals traveling to get vehicles - and not afraid to do it again. The local dealer that has any is asking $10k over MSRP.I have a hard time buying used performance vehicles with turbo engines as they are very easy to tune now and beat the piss out of. Plus the used ones that I would want mileage wise weren’t very far off of new price after discount.
There still some new 25s floating around out there. Might be worth to see what deal you could get on one of those compared to used.
Edit: A quick cars.com search shows there are 102 new 25s left, assuming dealers keep their listings up to date. I had a very good deal on a new 25 (55k), but my Ford dealer I have a long history with made a nice deal for me to stay with them on a 26.
Sorry if this is just unhelpful noise and you are dead set on used.
These are great suggestions with how to look at it underneath. Thanks!I would get under and make sure it wasnt off roaded. I am not buying anything within the certified pre-owned range that has been offroad. No beach, no moab rocky trails, nothing. If i am getting something that new, it is going to be an asphalt queen.
Look for scratches under the truck on the skids, frame, axle tubes, all those places. Stick your fingers in the holes in the frame and feel for sand or dirt. Pull it out and hazard a geuss as to it just being from normal driving or off-roading. Feel on top of the engine splash guard and the fuel skid.
For the money these are being asked, it better be perfect
I can’t believe dealers are still trying that BS and I really can’t believe that some buyers still pay it.Not dead set on used at all. If you think that's a lot, Raptor Rs have a $40k markup.
Even more than that. Cargurus shows 260 new 25s still out there nationwide, but shows 1100 new RRs any year. Autotrader numbers nearly same..
Edit: A quick cars.com search shows there are 102 new 25s left,
I was saying there are 102 leftover new 25s. I don’t doubt there are 1000 plus new 25 and 26s available. They are not hard to find anymore and agree with you about not paying over MSRP or even MSRP for that matter. Especially if you are willing to travel. I know some of the usual markets are still trying to push the ADMs hoping they hook a fish.Far far more than that. Cargurus shows 1100 new RRs still out there. Autotrader nearly same.
