Cool Beans!!!I keep mine folded flat in the bed under a tonneau cover. Don’t get me wrong, it looks cool… but I’m really happy I went a different route with my iLander tent.
I think that may be illegal in the state of California, I may have to settle for a turtle shellCool Beans!!!
Can you rig up a rip cord/cable setup so you can deploy the tent from the cockpit as a drag chute?
Jest kiddin...
Not bad. I prefer a low rack that (a) still allows most of the space in the bed to be used and (b) allows the tent to open to the side of the truck. I cook in camp, and having the tent block tailgate access would be a non-starter.
Now, you may ask why I wouldn’t just fold up the tent while I was cooking? The answer is that my sleeping wife wouldn’t appreciate it.![]()
Yes that was my setup for some time, can carry a lot more gear and the tailgate is an underrated toolNot bad. At some point, why not just get a Diamondback tonneau that can take a RTT?btw- you idea has a ton of potential. if you made a mount so it could be bolted to a decked system, it would sell. that’s otherwise dead space under a tonneau anyway.

Right. I was proposing this as an alternative to mounting on a Decked system.because i don’t want tonneau.
I can still carry stuff on top of the tent. With the tonneau open i can strap bulky items like a e-z up or luggage on top of the tent, just strap it down tight its quite rugged - and awesome thanks for checking it out!it’s funny- my buddy just sent me your video a few days ago. it had me thinking about some things- my xtrusion rack- if i could stretch it 7”, i could put the tent in between the uprights. so theoretically i could still carry a kayak on top.
