I just received the 5 light set but have not installed it yet. I test fitted them at the end grill slots that are shorter and curved and they do not fit. The sticky tape that holds them to the grill does not make contact with the curve in the end slots. Maybe with some modification to the grill they might work, but im not sure if i want to do thatNobody has tried the 5 light set? No response from F150-LED, maybe I will have to DM them to get a response or picture![]()
Wow, that really sucks that they didn't check the fit before offering the 5 light kit. I really do like the look though. Thanks much for the reply. I will have to really think about whether it's worth potentially damaging the grill to make them work. I suppose the outer two could be moved in a space- similar to the post above with 4 lights in closer pairs.I installed my 5 light kit today. I had to take a dremel to the end slots in the grill to get them to fit. The end lights are at a slight angle compared to the center ones. Only problem I had was that after I was done they didn't work. I used the f150led adapter that plugs into the fender light for power and I soldered and heat shrink a 2 pin connector onto the end of the kit and the adapter so I wouldn't have to use those tap in things it comes with. Anyway the black wire out of the adapter was positive and the red was negative so I re-soldered it with the black to red and red to black and it worked! I'm not that good with the dremel and im sure others can do better work than me on the end grill slots.
