I finally stopped procrastinating and decided to just get the muffler and not a complete cat back exhaust, i really couldn't justify the cost of a complete system (at this time) running from the $700's up to $1100-1200 depending on SS material and the other config options.
So i went with the Magnaflow #12577 (409SS) for $167 and a local muffler shop charged $150 to cutout the OE and weld in the new one.
I used this same muffler on my 5th gen '19 Ranger and was satisfied with the sound and better throttle response, although on those 5th Gen there was a resonator after the OE muffler right over the axle section, on the 6th there is no Res, Ford deleted it. so, i was concerned there might be drone.
I was able to get it on a highway going out to a family get together today along with local street driving, and yes there is a noticeable tone but i wouldn't call it drone, the highway had a hill that has a 6% grade and at 72 with CC set i was hard pressed to hear any annoying sound. (radio off)
It's a good budget option if you don't want to spend $$ on a complete system.
When i do a longer highway trip, I'll update any observations.

My muffler shop did a generic muffler that was single in/dual out and ran duals out the back for a little more. If you get bored and want to change up the look, try it next time and it may help with noise too. Mine is very quiet but when I am not in the truck and I remote start it, you can definitely hear it way more then when it was stock.

But good deal on the info for everyone. Since mine is generic, I cannot out a part number up to help out for people

I have two vid clips but am not able to dwnld them to this post, i get the 'oops something went wrong' message, in guessing there to big 55 seconds and similar for the second.
The cold start db's were roughly 82-84 and rev dbs got to 92-94, idle at 74.
Anybody know what the max size of a vid attachment is i can give it another try?
Its surprisingly not loud at all for the straight thru design that it is, which I'm actually happy about.
Wasn't looking for loud, wanted a more free flow efficient design and that's what i got for a total OOP $327. :)
