I really wish my RR came with black exhaust tips. Is there an easy way to blacken the factory tips without having to actually replace them? Would black spray paint work? I don't want to make it look worse.

I think a few members have hit them with a high-temp black paint. To spray them I think you'd need to drop the exhaust down by removing a few hangers.

Black spray paint works well but do not use regular spray paint. You must use a specialized high-heat ceramic or engine enamel paint (like Rust-Oleum High Heat or VHT) so it does not burn, bubble, or peel off from the exhaust heat.

Also note, the factory tips are brushed stainless, not chrome.
Get em clean and spray em, no scuffing needed. Should be fine. Easy to touch up if needed.

I have high heat black rustoleum (for another project). Maybe I'll give it a try. Could always just touch it up.

Heat resistant silicone pipe 3.5" ID off eBay.
Slide on using liquid soap detergent. These have been on for 24,000 miles, no issues.

Great idea! Looks like you left about 1/2" overlap on the end? Not sure I am finding what you have, can you share a link?

Cut to your preferred length. I left a little overlap as it looks cleaner.

Before I installed them. Painted the outside and ends in Plastidip as I wanted a Matt black finish.

I painted mine black with high temp paint and they have been like that for 3 years now, no issues. I like the looks much better than the stock natural silver look.
