Just curious if anyone is using 90 octane Unleaded "Ethanol Free" gas?
I don't see it very often at the pumps.
Any advantage/disadvantage?

I haven’t ran it in my Ranger yet, but do use it when I know any of my vehicles will be sitting for a while and also in all of my yard equipment since I usually buy about 40 gallons to get me through spring and summer. Pulse I keep it on hand during the winter for emergency purposes. Also run it on road trips if available, just because. 😏

They sell it near my house so I run it all the time in my 2024 2.3. Works fine and I dont see any difference between that and ethanol 93 octane.

I have the procal so I have to run 91 and above

I'm just getting familiar with this.
I moved from California where it's not available.
Seeing more of it in Tennessee.

Congrats on you escape! Was stoked to find it readily available when I moved to Washington from San Diego.... And hope it's available, well that's on the wish list when I get out of this place.

Tennessee is the only state I have seen it.

I use 90 ethanol free recreational fuel in my 2.7L. It gets the same as all other types of ethanol fuel. 22 to 24 mpg depending on if i do more 2 lane highway driving. Maybe a FPP Procal tune will make use of the higher octane.

Here in Illinois recreational fuel is 10 cents a gallon more than premium fuel at Meijer which is top tier fuel (at least they have the sticker saying it is)

Unfortunately I didn't get a price. I'll check next time I go back to that station.

I live on the west side of the country.

What is "recreational fuel"?

I run it in my small engines that sit around. Zero turn and back up generator. I fill my Harley with it at the end of the season for over the winter. it's about 10 cents more than premium here. I think we have it fairly available because we're on Lake Erie and there's lots of boats. You don't want ethanal in boats.
