I have a 2020 Ranger & brought it in for the latest TSB about 1 month ago.
My issue before the TSB was downshifting felt like I was getting hit
from the back, choppy downshifts.
After TSB, very smooth shifting.
So far all good, love the truck.
I think they should have pushed PHEVs first. Unfortunately it seems many, many
people that bought a PHEV bought it because with the subsidy it was cheaper to buy
then an ICE. These people never use the electric & only drive in ICE mode. Sad.
Ford, please bring this to N.A. A PHEV would be awesome, 27 miles is a little short but acceptable. Most of our driving would be within that range.
Hope the price won't be too high.
This is an issue. The first yr I got mine I went through many car wash during the winter
& most, if not all, had the spray under as you drove in. Well, in the spring I was
looking under the truck & there was no more oil/film. Since then, I make sure
the car wash does not have that under spray...
Ordering! Oh boy! I can't wait to order a PHEV!
On EV's, the tech is moving fast, remember this is relatively new implementation.
This is similar to when the pc's came out & look at how fast it changed, the speed
of graphics card & the price drop of memory & still going. The grid may not
be...
I'll be looking at all manufactures that build a PHEV. Whomever does not build one, won't be in the running, therefore won't get my $$$.
What they show here looks very interesting.
Does not mean a thing if it was made a yr ago. Look at the R5G, It has been made for yrs
before being made here in Michigan but the HVAC issue with the blend door was snafu.
It took them about 6 months before they fixed it. Different subcontractors with different part. First yr will be riddled...
I was on Ranger5g just now & @AzScorpion posted a PHEV for 2024 from Ford Authority. I stay away from those sites cuz too much is BS & just for clicks.
Is FA mostly hot air or are they fairly good. Not great when they quote a forum.
EDIT: I see it was posted here too.. lol, I should have...
