*****STOP with the personal attacks and political comments!******

This thread is about scheduling emails NOT politics or personal attacks. These are both against the forum rules and the next one will be the last one.

Just a random thought...with a few more "scheduling Thursdays" we should be able to extrapolate a possible pattern on how scheduling is going with allocations and builds. I repeat...possibly!

Hopefully. I have never ordered a truck nor have I bought a Ford so it's all new to me. I think we're all still trying to figure out how random it is, or how much certain things matter like how early you got your order in, how big your dealer is or if there's a trend with certain options ordered.

Actually KevR, I think you are spot on. It is impossible to make sense out of what appears to be nonsensical at this point. I just have to believe there is some rational to the "how's and why's." And, hopefully, with a few more schedulings the fog may become a mist. I'm glad you get the spirit of my post.

In the first post for the previous weeks scheduling thread there was a screenshot with various comments about that week's scheduling. I'm guessing that would also be key to mapping out the build dates based on supply constraints. I don't think I saw a similar screenshot for this past Thursday. Anyone have it to share?

It was covered in the first post of this thread. The one we’re in now is just about build emails

Priority code doesn’t affect when you get scheduled. Priority codes only determine the scheduling preference by your dealer within their list of orders.
Ok Im not clear on the priority code, I was of the understanding the lower numbers would be scheduled for build first. Most of the people on this site that received their build dates have very low priority codes. Mine is 12. So if the priority code doesn’t affect when your RR is built what does? Thanks for any feed back.

Priority codes 3-19 are for retail orders. Everything higher is for dealer stock orders. Everyone that has been scheduled on this thread is a retail order (since they are not dealers ordering stock) so that is why they all appear to be low.

The priority number is assigned by the dealer. All it does is let the dealership tell Ford what order they’d like their orders to be built. This is so if everything else is equal, the guy that ordered in May gets prioritized over the guy that ordered the same model in July. That’s it.

Ford still pulls and schedules orders based on parts available and on their own criteria. There is nothing you can learn from the priority code or order number or dealership size that will tell you when you get scheduled. It’s more complicated than all this but that’s the basics.

From my experience going through all this buying my Maverick: meeting all the conditions for your order to be reviewed and locked (to major changes) by regional team. Then the factory has to select it to be able to get scheduled for production based on their forecasting at that moment in time that all the parts and components will actually arrive on time to send it down the production line. This scenario can, and frequently will, get blown up 1 or more times along the way and force the production forecasters, planners, and schedulers to completely reshuffle the mix on the fly to keep production line building vehicles. Again, this is driven by suppliers meeting actual delivery as promises. Thank JIT for the uncertainty of the process. You and your dealer have no direct control over any of this.
