@Cabose-1 can you tell us more about the Gen-Y hitch? I tow heavy as well and would like a better quality / riding drawbar for my 25 Ranger. Thanks!

The glyder hitch cannot be used with a weight distribution hitch.
But this glyder hitch is a game changer!! Rather than felling the trailer push or pull you, the pivot point allows the hitch to move up and down seperate from your vehicle. Of course not completely, but enough to where the ride is much much smoother. Especially over railroad tracks, streets or driveways that have big or small dips, dirt roads, and just going down the highway.
Its rated for 7k pounds and adjustable. With the drop hitch part they sell one that is not adjustable as well. And a 700lb tounge rating. So perfect for our Rangers
Best as i can say is as the bumper moves up, the trailer does not move. Then the trailer moves without moving the truck. Like a pivot point for up and down rather than right and left. I tow a lot of cars and heavy trailers 5k to 7k and this hitch just makes the ride that much smoother.
They make a model for weight distribution hitches too. Just cost double the price.
Bought the rebel hitch as my first hitch for my 2020 Ranger. Ever since i bought the glyder in 2022 for my second Ranger, i have never looked back. The rebel hitch only holds my hitch step now.

I use the road active suspension too. It really, really helps with squat and roll. Its like having a sway bar just better. All this combines for a very comfortable tow.

I do not use a full size vecause i never tow heavy enough, and the f150 is just too big. This truck for me and my needs tows everything i need it too. Except for one time. We needed an rv towed away. Well, needed a gooseneck trailer and big winch to get that job done. So thats the one time i could not tow with the ranger. E en the kubota tractor gets pulled by the ranger.

I hope i answered your question, it takes a little money, but imo.....welll worth it.

@Cabose-1 Thank you for the information and pics! This was a huge help! I do not use a weight distribution hitch, actually tow a Kubota tractor out to my land. I have been exploring my options to increase the ride quality and performance. The truck power wise is plenty. I will be definitely looking into the Gen-Y Glyder hitch asap, I love that concept. Really appreciate the feedback on the Active Road Suspension, I literally spoke to the MFG on Friday to learn more about it and order. Thanks again!

The glyder makes it a much smoother tow.
I am sure you will enjoy the change.
