2024 2.3 ecoboost engine cover

yes i know this has been covered alot,but is there any true facts about it causing overheating problems or ruining the wires under it?
how many on here have run with it on for a few years?

It doesnt really cover alot of the engine area an it does sit up off the engine. I dont see how it would cause any heating issues. I just dont like how the engine bay area looks unfinished with out. and really would help keep dust and water off the top. But I would rate it as only cosmetic in nature.

No more than any other engine cover that has been placed on cars/trucks for the last 50 yrs. I also dont park my car in a Barn. PS I have cat so not worried about mice.

Parking in a barn not necessary. Besides, the cover will make an excellent hiding spot from the cat.

Maybe you could get the cover painted to match your truck? Like some sprts car guys do and some v8 truck guys do?

Some of those engine covers look super cool with what people have done.

SOLD - According to eBay the 19-23 engine covers for 2.3L should fit a '24 model. I can attest they don't fit the '25 model 2.3L as it's a different design, so if anyone's' looking for a pre-2025 2.3L cover just PM me for a deal. - SOLD

My cover is sold. But, to the question/concern with issues on an engine ....

I have owned numerous vehicles with engine covers; Corvettes, Honda's, Fords, etc. I have personally never experienced an issue with an engine cover. No overheating, no rodents, no issues. It's like saying a hood causes heating issues. Go back and look at cars from the 60's. They have HUGE breathers that cover the engine and never had overheating issues.

It's a purely cosmetic item and engineer tested across many major manufacturers. It's just an urban legend
