2024 Ranger automatic gear display.

I have a Lariat and have tried to configure my display like yours. Is this available only on the Raptor or is it found in the settings somewhere? I’d like to have the small icons across the top like yours, or something similar

It in the dash menu under gauges.
My Lariat looks like that with the gauges I want at the top.

Sorry, I have an XLT, not a Lariat. Brain fart. I found them when I switched to off-road gauge view. Not across the top but still visible. Thanks

Yes XLT has the gauges on the sides.

I think there is another option… something like “manual mode gear shift indicator”…you can find it from the steering wheel options…and if you turn that on, it will display your gear permanently so you don’t have to press anything when you turn your truck on.

Could you indicate what you are turning on in this screen, or do you have to be in S mode to do this? I see you have turn by turn checked on this screen. Is that what your talking about?

If there is a plus minus on your Transmission selector when in gear hit the plus
That works on my lariat. Should on the XLT also I believe.

That's the way it is on 5G. If you tap the plus on the gear shift, the gear is shown. But it also allows you to lock out the upper gears, if wanted.

Same thing occurs when you engage the paddles.

FYI
Just found out if you want to monitor in real time what gear your transmission is in. Start your engine with your foot on the brake and press and hold the + button on the console shifter
. It will be displayed on the main screen to the right of the gear selector display.

That feature has been there since 2019 that I know of. Then you can hit the minus button repeatedly to set the highest gear you want to use as well. Works a treat for a city truck.
