Going to attempt the Bronco 6100's on the front next week, will report back!
confirmed the 6100's do NOT fit with the OEM coils as the perch is too large for the OEM coil.
was worth a shot, but will have to go with the 5100 for now.

Here’s the current state of my Ranger XLT with FX4 package:

Method 703 17x8.5 +35 offset Bronco Ford Performance Wheels (ordered through dealership)(black lug nuts)

BFGoodrich KO3 285/70r17 tires

Rallyflapz extended arch mudflaps (ordered these from the UK and had to cut them down a bit as they were just too wide for the truck, and also had to fabricate a bit of a bracket for the fronts, just bent one of the arms of an L-shaped bracket and bolted it down under the crash bar bolts *pictures)

Bilstein 5100 suspension +2ā€ lift in the front; fronts coilovers are actually made for the Bronco and fit great, the rear shock absorbers are made for the 5G Ranger.

Gas mileage has dropped from around 23 mpg to about 20-21 mpg for mixed highway, city driving.

*FORScan has released update 2.3.61 which has allowed me to write changes to the BdyCM. The ideal tire circumference for this tire size is 2612mm, but I’ve seen that you want to account for some squish in the tire to get the speedometer just right. The posts I saw said to multiply the ideal circumference by 0.96 to get the ā€˜real world’ circumference which came out to 2507mm. I entered 2500mm (cuz I like the round number better) for the new circumference and my speedometer is reading 75mph at 75mph in the OnX GPS app, pretty much perfect!

EDIT 08/17/2024:

Here’s the end link solution I came up with:

img_1705-jpeg.jpg

I bought the link kit from Ruffstuff and then I also bought their Sway Bar Quick Disconnect Pin Kit (not pictured above). The pins just bolt into the knuckle and the sway bar and then the Heim joint rod ends slide onto the pins and are captured by the smaller retaining pins.

The rod ends that come with kit are unfortunately too large to allow enough motion in the rod end as it was made for a Jeep with a solid axle, not an IFS truck. I bought these Left Hand Rod Ends and these Right Hand Rod Ends from Speedway Motors. They’re just a bit narrower in the body and allow the rod ends to articulate enough for the IFS.

img_1709-jpeg.jpg

They seem to be working pretty well, and they are removable fairly easily, so I’m satisfied with them for now. The narrower rod end spherical bearings are pretty loose, so they might be a bit creaky after a few months, but we’ll see.
what bronco did you buy your 5100's for ? I was looking at bilsteins site, but im not positive which one to put in. what did they run you at the time ?

I bought the 4-door, 2.3L model based on overall vehicle weight. Hoping they release some ā€˜24+ specific models soon!

It’s gotta be the regular bronco, the sport is much smaller and not a truck… I think I just did the current year, which woulda been a 2024. Installed them myself :)

Here ya go! I couldn’t get the removable sway bar endlinks to stay quiet and it just wasn’t worth it over the clunkiness to have disconnecting links. So I swapped in some universal Godspeed 230-280mm adjustable sway bar end links. Definitely loctite the lock nuts on or they will back off.

Any idea how much more lift going up one notch to the sencod lowest setting? Im getting 285/75R17 Toyo mt which is 34" on the same wheels as you with 0 offset so might need closer to 2.5" of lift.

Do you have a link to the godspeed links you used. not sure which ones to get. Are they holding up for you?

Are you still happy with the shocks? I was just going to get a leveling kit until more kits are available but this might be a better route if they seem to ride okay. Also did you just get the 5100 in the rear? I was also looking at getting the 5160s looks like they have 1" move travel maybe from the 5th gen.

Got it done yesterday, installed the struts at the same setting as yours turned out well. Did you have to get an alignment?

Did you check how much lift you got? Im wondering how much the 2nd lowest position would be. Also how is the ride now vs stock? Did you the rear shocks also?

It looked like about a quarter inch between notches. Strut mounts at about the halfway point on the control arm, so I'd say the 2nd or 3rd notch from the bottom would get you to 2.5". Mine settled in around 1.8" or so.

I'm pretty happy with them, I would really like to put 6112s on the front but I'd also like for them to actually design a kit for the '24+ rangers specifically first. Kind frustrated nobody has even bothered except dobinson.

Rears are just the 5100s from the previous gen ranger since the backend didn't change much except where they mount on the frame and axle. 5160s I'm told are just 5100s with a reservoir, apparently no difference in ride quality, just more oil.

These are the swaybar endlinks: Godspeed Endlinks. I had to replace the nuts at both ends with NyLock nuts + Loctite to keep them from working themselves loose, but they haven't budged in over a year now. The endlinks themselves seem super sturdy, the ball joints also seem like quality units to me.

Hey man, quick question — I’m thinking about running the Bilstein 8112s from a Bronco on the front of my 24 Ranger . Do you happen to know if they will bolt right up or if some mods are needed? Considering your experience with the 5100s from the Bronco.

The sway bar problem is because of the lift right? Not because the struts are from the Bronco or am i mistaken?

Any coilover that bolts into the bronco front end should bolt into the front end of the new rangers. The bronco is capable of a little more lift than the ranger, so don’t get anything that lifts super high. A +3ā€ lift for a Sasquatch bronco is way too much for the ranger. Best bet is get something that leaves a Sasquatch bronco at stock height at its lowest setting. Looks to me like the 8112s would be perfect for that, from what Bilstein says on their website.

Yeah sway bar is just a geometry thing. The distance between mounting surfaces gets smaller with lift on this front suspension design. Bronco sway bar end links will NOT work on the rangers as they have a different mounting location (lower control arm vs. knuckle)

EDIT: 8112s have remote reservoirs, so you will have to do some sort of mod to mount the reservoir, but there are likely instructions and hardware for that since the same thing would have to be done on a bronco.

Really appreciate the quick and detailed reply — that helps a lot.

Do you happen to know if there’s any rear suspension compatibility for the Ranger with other vehicles? I’ve been looking into options, but obviously the Bilstein 8100s aren’t available for the Ranger. I was considering running Kings in the rear since from what I’ve read, they tend to perform better than the 8100s for the rear. What’s your take on that? (Compatibility and using different brands front vs rear)

No problem! I noticed you’re from Peru right? You might need to look into what the differences are between US and rest of the world (ROW) rangers are before you buy any US suspension. There might be some differences. I haven’t used anything outside of the 5100s I put on the back of mine, so I can’t really say what works or doesn’t. In the US, anything from the previous generation ranger works for the new trucks. Kings are probably nice though.
