Call me crazy, I'm trading in a 2024 2.3l XLT for a 2025 2.7 XLT. Waiting on the pizza tracker to reload. After a long wait through the strike i hope this one takes a little less longer.

I have 200 miles on my 24 XLT 2.7L (from 21 Taco). I'm afraid that I'm going to get a speeding ticket. It accelerates so effortlessly (even without the turbo's engaging).

Can’t blame ya, imo the 2.7 is a game changer for the non raptor rangers. The 2.3 is a very good engine but that 2.7 is built rock solid

I know of a 2.7 velocity blue xlt for sale by me currently. I'm in Wisconsin so any interest in where it is let me know.

847mi on my 2.7L Ranger Lariat and only been slightly above 3k RPMs a couple times, but man it wants to run! You’ll be happy with the upgrade!

The turbos are so small it's hard to imagine them ever not pushing boost.

I can't even imagine how much money you lost in doing this. :-(

Not crazy at all. It's better to take the monetary hit now and not have any regrets about not having the better motor.

I have a light foot, and I've watched the boost gauge. I drive on relatively flat roads and the transmission just ticks up through the gears with the engine < 2000 rpm. A big difference over the 3rd gen Taco is that it would aggressively shift into a higher gear and the engine would be in a low torque RPM. If I tried to nudge the Taco faster or up a slight incline it would bog, then shift. With the 2.7 the turbo's do provide a small amount of boost and the truck just goes, no annoying downshifting and gear hunting.
