In a situation like this I always insist on talking to the tech that worked on it and they have always obliged.
I asked about talking to the tech, but they said the techs have to do whatever ford tells them to do--after reporting it on the hotline, they can't just test something suggested. Seems crazy but.....

Think it may depend on the dealership, this place keeps the service advisor between you and the techs.

Just bought this gorgeous Ranger 2 weeks ago. Now the brakes are intermittently losing pedal, it goes almost to the floor and you have to stand on the pedal hard to get it to stop. Ford dealership has it and said they are replacing the front pads and shaving the rotors. Seems like this is not going to help as sometimes the pedal is high and it's easy to stop, it is like it is losing pressure. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.
Air in the lines??

They are still waiting for a response from the Ford hotline. Ford is picking up the cost of a rental car for us starting today and picking up my husband to go get it. Aggravating.....
they re-loaded the software for the ABS module, didn't help. This afternoon we called back, next thing they are trying is replacing the brake booster. Tomorrow or the next day the part may come in. I asked them to add a couple gallons of gas, on Ford pass I could see it is down pretty low (it was on 1/4 when they picked it up), they started to say it would be added as a cost, I said, what??? and then they decided they will check with the manager about it. Good grief, they have to run it around every time they make a change and it is not good to run it that low, they need to fill it up after all this. Sure hope this fixes it.

My wifes 2019 Ranger had the same problem Took it back 3 times and they did not fix it .
after 2 years of mushy brakes I got forscan and did a ABS service bleed and just let it buzz
the ABS motor I let no fluid out . And it's fixed The dealer bananas could not finger out

That's just crazy. It's a simple procedure to bleed brake lines. You'd think they would start there before going down these rabbit holes. What a waste of everyone's time.

They are still waiting for the parts, some type of module (advisor couldn't remember which one, sigh) and the brake booster. I totally agree about the brake lines but these new ones are so tech heavy it is nuts!

Finally got the truck back today. They replaced the brake booster, bled the brakes, reset the abs module, bled the brakes again and we have liftoff. Let's hope it stays fixed!!! Thank you to everyone for your input.
