I just purchased a NA 2025 Ranger. It doesn’t have the convenience package (outlets and lights in the truck bed), but there are unused wiring harnesses under the bed (pictures attached). Can I use these to install an outlet and lights? The driver side has two unused connectors and the passenger side has a single unused connector. If this is possible, does anyone have the part numbers for the led lights and power outlet/panel? Thanks for the help!

The side with a single connector could be the Leds harness. The other one 2 wire harness should be the other Leds side. Both should have the same color wires.

Use a multimeter and check for 12v while opening the tailgate or a door. If that doesn't work, i think a Forscan edit should enable those.

You have both ends of the connector shells. All you need are the pins, some wire boots and some wire.

i am guessing that you don’t have the inverter under the seat so you have the wiring for the 120v ac but no juice,

the 12 volt should work, purple and blue wires, see my post above.

but if you get a 2025 power panel it is only 120 vac so you would need a 2024 bed power panel

the bed lights are activated by a switch in the cab so while you might have the wiring for them, I wonder if it is powered? Do you have the little switch on the left to activate the top bed light?

I should be able to check with a multimeter later this week — that’s a good idea. I have a buddy that’s familiar with Forscan. I’ll take a look at the spreadsheet to see if there is a setting to enable. Thanks Sharpix.

I can live without the 120v ac — I suppose I can add an inverter in the future if needed — it’s nice that the wiring is already ran.

Thanks for your previous post regarding adding the 12v outlet — I’ll definitely use that info.

I don’t have the dash switch for the top bed light. I’ll check the voltage with a multimeter later this week as Sharpix recommended. Hopefully it’s plug and play.

Update: I found a used 2024 outlet online. I plugged it into the existing under bed wire harness on my ‘25 and the 12v works. No 120v as expected.

You did it man! So it could be possible to fit a 12v plug on the plain cover...
Nicely done

i was checking again on the post... My Wildtrak has 120v but not 12v outlet. I need it for an air pump and a search light.
I will install the 12v. i should be very easy.

Nice! My Ford dealer seemed to indicate that they couldn’t install the OEM inverter. I’d be interested to know if they install one for you and what parts were needed. I wonder if all the wiring is already available and if it is roughly plug and play.

My NA (Michigan) 2025 XLT Ranger has the same wiring connectors. Like the original poster, I have 12volt on the 8 pin connector. I bought and installed the OEM bed lights on each side and replaced the original headlight control unit with the OEM version that has the cargo light switch. The original just had a blank spot. All that was simple and now I am going to see what I need to do in Forscan to turn on that functionality as the bed cargo lights don't turn on with the new switch. However, all the headlamps etc, work as before so I am hoping for a simple forscan edit.

My biggest question is where does the opposite end of the 8-pin connector go? I would be delighted to see it terminate in a place where I can add an aftermarket inverter.
