2025 Ranger Raptor Dashboard Rattle

I have been to two different dealerships, 5 times to get this fixed, since receiving my vehicle in November 2025.

Rattle occurs whenever I am going over bumps. There is squeaking and ticking rattle coming from the center dashboard area. From my understanding they took everything apart. Tightened a few things. Shoved foam around certain areas, and added washers to the bolts. Noise is still there, but less pronounced.

I know some members are having a similar issue, and appreciate one of members sending me their service report.

I have been without my vehicle on two occasions over the past 5 months (at the dealer for 3 months total).

Now I still have a rattle as well as scuffs marks where the dashboard trim. It also seems parts of the dashboard are looser with wider gaps (forgot to take before and after photos). Ford Customer service hotline was not helpful.

The current dealer has not escalated this to FORD HQ, stating they never had a master tech come out to evaluate this type of problem before.

Do I just go to another dealer? I am sorta of stuck since the other dealers locally don't offer a loaner vehicle.

They got rid of all forum reps. But don't fret, all they did was point you to Ford customer service, which from personal experience is worse than talking to a wall.

Find another dealer. And look up the lemon laws in your state.

I’m in the UK and have had a dashboard rattle ever since the dash was repositioned to correct its alignment. They’ve now replaced the entire dashboard, and I collected the car today—all seems to be resolved.

My guess is that the original dashboard was distorted, so once it was moved into the correct position, it no longer fitted properly, causing the rattle.

Journal, I've had a very similar noise and it turned out to be a seal on the dash squeaking on the windshield. I used to jamb my wallet down there to stop it then I found this rubber seal from our main hardware store which fits really neat - I've run it the whole width of the dash. Might be worth checking if that's all yours needs

Wow, I find that people usually exaggerate how loud their rattles are but that's bad!

My 2026 Ranger Raptor just started to squeak at the same area as well....I bought it 2 weeks ago and its only at 470 miles. I wonder if its the gap between the gauge cluster and the shroud.

I am also having rattle issues and it is driving me INSANE! I have brought it in to be addressd 4 times now and they still haven't done shit. Even did a road test with a tech riding shotgun who confirmed he heard it, only to drop the truck off for 2 week and they did nothing to fix it.

Would you mind sending me the service report you recieved? I really want to get this thing fixed once and for all...

They didn't give me a service report this last time. The first three visits, my understanding is they added a bunch of foam in various places which did not help. This last time they replaced all the clips that mount the dash onto the frame as well as added padded washers to the bolts holding the dashboard. The sound is significantly less frequent, but occasionally still there. They talked to the Ford hotline during the 3rd and 4th repairs, but did not have a master field tech come out to evaluate (The service advisor says its very uncommon for them to come out here).

I submitted a buyback request to see what they are offering. I probably will see if I can just pay an amount to get the dashboard replaced.

Highly recommend checking the hardware associated with the overhead aux switch / sunglass holder assembly if you've ever had service done where they had to drop the headliner.

The wallet fixed it for me. I removed the gauge cluster and noise was still there driving over bumps, tried jamming the wallet between windshield and dash and noise was gone. Now I just gotta find the same rubber strip haha
