These colors are most likely the most popular because they are the only colors on the lot and most folks purchase from the lot.
Just ask a dealer why all the vehicle on the lot are the above colors and you will get that they are the colors that sell. Gee I wonder why
Yes and no.

  • Black has always been very popular. People like being "hard" and "gangsta" or "timeless".
  • White is split since its the color of every fleet vehicle ever, and because some cars look very good in white, staying "fresh" or "clean" or "storm trooper mode".
  • Silver / Grey I dont know what people see in those colors. Some darker greys get into the same area as white, but most greys (sorry Cactus Grey folks) are just bland.
  • Dark Blue is the outlier as I assumed Red would be more popular nation wide, but Dark Blue is close to black.
  • Weird colors just dont sell for a variety of reasons -
    • Ridiculous markup
    • Color is actually ugly
    • Low volume vehicle in general
    • Color appeals to only a specific demographic
    • Cool color only on highest trim.

Yes and no.

When Shelter Green was first shown online, I hated it. Ordered mine in Hot Pepper Red. But after waiting since Jesus was a baby for mine to be delivered, my dealer got in a stock order Shelter Green (tied with Shadow Black as most popular color for Ranger Raptor) and told me I had first right of refusal. When I saw it in person, I was shocked at how wrong I was. Still, I told them I needed to think about it.

I bought it the next day.

It is going to sell well I guarantee it. Boring colors sell cars because people are naturally boring and or herd mentality. White, Gray, Black, Silver, Dark Blue, and Red all sell the vast majority of cars. Tan is the new Gold for this generation.

Well, I guess I'm not boring and part of the herd mentality because silver was one of the least chosen RR colors...?

Silver is grey, so you get lumped in with the Cactus bros.

Not my fault OP of that image used the porn stars name instead of the correct way to spell it.
Now that's one thing I'm sure you have plenty of knowledge of other than different hues of colors...congrats!

Grey/gray... same word but Americans usually use gray for the color. I personally use both. I'm continental like that, much like a hotel breakfast.

You can have shades of colors, so you arent wrong, but also not right. Its still Grey.
They call it grey but I've never seen it look grey in direct sunlight, overcast, or shade or artificial lighting.
