I say this not that that I am a Ford only guy but have owned a Chevy a few years ago and it was a big disappointment. Also, that 4 cylinder is no comparison to the 2.7.

The Ranger arrives Sunday at the house. The F150 goes to SD. After research on chemical composition compared to Rhino and Line-X, have an appointment in Wichita early November for a Phoenix premium UV spray in, undercoating, and rustproofing. All day. Will post pictures. My local Ford salesman is so excited he offered to come by and help me with the Ranger setup.

Still don’t know if any of the 26 Rangers got hit with this.
This video came out today detailing what models of F150 and a Maverick that got hit with particulate filter in the exhaust and decreased HP, which seems unknown if it will effect the fuel milage. If it’s like when these hit the diesel engines years ago, it was clear it hurt fuel milage as well as reliability.

Seems only to be focused on turbo charged engines for now.

Another reason to put a 5.0L NA v8 in the Ranger Raptor. lol My dream truck. lol

Also another reason to buy a 2025, while supplies last. Filters actually filter. Amazing! They have to be replaced. Amazing! They clog up and reduce fuel flow, slowly starving the engine and robbing power. Amazing! Fuel pumps work harder to supply fuel and cause more wear. Amazing! Like clogged arteries, the pump pushing harder leads to engine heart attack. Amazing! More maintenance cost funds that go to suppliers. Amazing! And resultant expected air quality improvement through scientific laboratory replicated results? Not reported. Amazing! Thanks, EPA!

It's extra crazy when you consider how expensive the Ranger already is. Guess Ford still isn't interested in market share unless you're talking F-150.

People at Ford are delusional. Ranger just needs a few tweaks at each trim. My friend and Ford salesman owns an awesome XLT Tremor. But Ford zapped it. More F150s are sold each year than the population of Australia so what are they worried about? Wait until RAM jumps in. When you are king, everybody wants the throne.

Ford will viciously protect the F series status as king. And anything that threatens it (including their own products) will be kicked to the curb. Which is why they should have called it the F100 or some such instead of making it a separate branch. You would see dramatically more production in the Ranger if it were simply named something else (aligned with the F series anyway).

true. the whole brand basically rides on that vehicle. idk I feel like thats a race to the bottom to be honest. but who am I to judge.
