Last I knew, Motocraft was produced by Conoco Phillips so it's Kendall motor oil.

My mechanic charges me 75$ for full synthetic, I think I'm getting preferential treatment at that price lol. Don't even have to drive the used oil anywhere myself.

Motorcraft full synthetic is basically Valvoline which is upthere in high quality oil brands like, PUP and Mobil 1. Motorcraft syn blend is basically Phillips 66.

I run Pennzoil Ultra Plat. I've run the yellow jug for 30+ years, but even in Project Farm's Oil showdown it was barely beat out of the top spot by AMSOIL and for the cost differential I'm ok running Pennz w/ FoMoCo filters. It's a good GTL, Group III oil and even with my spelunking I don't think I need a true Group IV/V.

All that said, it costs me around ~$40-45 and an hour of my time. You can miss me with that dealer upcharge and holding on to the vehicle for half a day or longer.

PUP is an outstanding product, M1 and Valvoline are also outstanding. To all of you guys out there overthinking this oil matter, don't worry. Use a high quality oil, 100% synthetic if you don't mind paying the higher price or full synthetic with pretty much similar results and synthetic blend but I don't recommend 10K miles on syn blend. Turbos rev high and get really hot, oil viscosity and efficiency suffers due to this fact. Oil quality keeps getting better, last year new specs were established, API SQ and ILSAC GF-7. Most people don't keep their vehicles that long or put tons on miles on them. These days with all of these electronics, cars are doomed to fail before the drive train components will. Don't lose any sleep worrying about oil, as mentioned, a high quality full synthetic from the top brands will do the trick, cut in half the interval, extreme heat from turbos cooks the oil, reduces viscosity and efficiency.
