Ford Ranger Air Design's SEMA G6 Ranger SEMA G6 ranger

I was browsing SEMA pictures and stumbled onto this image.

It looks to be a non-Raptor G6 with some of their stuff on it.

I don't like some of their stuff because it's held on by super sticky double-sided body molding tape, but their Super Bolt fender flares (what this ranger has),are pretty decent.

Looks like the stuff that’s on the Ford Parts website
Ford does use some of their stuff as accessories and list them in the accessory catalogs.

They were the one of the first businesses to offer different fender flares for the Bronco and Ford had them listed in the accessory catalog.

Edit:: I forgot to mention that some of these accessories are what Ford is using on their ORV package.

It's a little over the top for my tastes, but it definitely is good to see aftermarket support for the US.

Not interested in all this stick on cheap plastic. I think it looks horrible.

One thing to remember about most fender flares - they usually attach with a few screws in the wheel well, which means as you drive they will vibrate against your paint, which will always lead to scratched clear coat and paint. I’ve seen it on dozens of older dodges and fords around Texas, and even a few newer black widow trucks. Avoid cheap pocket style fender flares like the plague.

The stock fender flares on 6G rangers (raptor and none) are attached with body clips to a crevice in the fender. So all aftermarket fender designers have to do is reuse those clips. The clips isolate the vibration but you can always add thin foam tape.

If that is the case, then good. I looked at a 100k Chevy Black Widow a few weeks ago, you can pull that fender flare away from the body 1/2 inch really easily, so if they sell any of those kinds for the Ranger, then people should avoid them.

Yeah, the stock/factory fender flares are attached by body clips and such.

I have experience with Air Design's Super Bolt flares and the ones I've done attach using factory attaching points in the wheel opening and the pocket bolts/screws are attached to the side of the fender via self-adhesive T-style rubber body nut inserts.
The flares themselves have a sort of seal/gasket (which you can see in the picture) that sits in-between the fender and flare.

If surface prep is done properly and you do it before any waxing or ceramic coating, those self adhesive T's hold very well and can be difficult to remove, so it's advisable to make sure you double or triple check that each one is where you want it before marking their position and removing the tape backing to adhere then to the fender surface.

Skip ahead in this video and you’ll see them reinstall the factory flares on a raptor that have been painted

That’s awesome. I thought I’d seen most of the videos on the RR. Glad to see more about it, thanks. Now can’t wait to get mine and see what is offered after a few months in the states.
