Started my 2.3 XLT last week and watched all the systems failing on the screen. When they were done being listed I shut the engine off, restarted and it was ok. Just got home from a weeks vacation, unlocked the truck this morning and none of the lights came on. I want my Ram truck back that I traded in for this Ranger.

Makes sense you want to go back to the least reliable car maker of all time after a few issues with your new vehicle. Every car has issues, lets not act like you ever had an issue with your older truck or that because nothing happened to you no one has issues.

Week battery? Very likely if the truck sat for a week as many things are still powered even if the truck is off.

First thing I’d do is load test the battery (not just measuring resting voltage). I think auto parts places have them you can borrow or rent if you don’t have one. Bad batteries happen, and replacing batteries is often the first thing dealers do when diagnosing an electrical problem.

If the voltage is low but the battery is otherwise ok, look for a parasitic draw and go from there.

Did You try to start the truck?
It I have not used my Lariat for a few day when I open the door no lights come on till I start the truck.
It is a power saving set up. When not used a number of days systems shut down to conserve battery power.

Good idea. Stellantis the car conglomerate that has produced more lemons than a citrus grove. You probably could get a good deal on one right now. They currently have 7 of the top 10 slowest selling vehicles in the US including the top 3. Check the battery and bring it to the dealer to have it checked. It will be fine.

Had a similar thing happen to me while driving. All driving aids failed and Charge System Fault came on. I was doing 120 kph on the highway and it lasted about 2 minute's. Have had several Charge System Fault warnings since then and only 2000km on the 2024 Ranger XLT. I’ve only had this truck for about 3 weeks and I don’t think this should be happening. Have an appointment with Ford Service to try and figure out the problem.

I had a service advancetrac pop up once. Truck drove fine. When I got home, I scanned the vehicle and it showed several communication codes that all occurred at exactly the same time. I cleared the codes and it has never returned. Strange. Keep us posted as to what they find out.

Modules going into a sleep mode is likely what is resetting things like My View and ambient lighting settings on our trucks. The fact they aren't retaining memory after so many hours makes me wonder if Ford didn't install (large enough) capacitors in the modules to keep the memory active while the truck "sleeps".

This ^ is likely the cause, especially if the doors we’re locked and alarm system was activated. I park mine inside the garage with a charger attached.

Had this happen several times with the GT 500 as it was n’t driven regularly.👍🇺🇸

Not true every car has issues, I've bought many new vehicles and the only vehicle I ever had problems with was a Chevy truck that I had to lemon law in 2019. My Ram truck was good but it was time for a new vehicle and I thought I'd buy a Ford since I've never owned one. Thank you for your courteous response.

I hate all the electronics on vehicles now, it's BS.

As mentioned, just because you didnt experience a problem does not mean your experience is the usual experience. Stellantis is the worst automaker in the industry currently.
