Ambient lighting in the footwell?

I was kinda bummed when I turned on Ambient Lighting to find the only option was ice blue. Not terrible but Red is so much easier on the eyes at night.

Then I realized that there is no light in the footwells. Is something amiss? If that's how everyone's is, okay it's Ford nickle and diming again and I'm heading over to F150leds.com! But if I should have it in the footwells, I'm gonna look into it while still under warranty. TIA.

Not ideal in a $51,115 MSRP vehicle.

I bought the F150leds.com kit. I really like them. Can make them pretty mute or bright with the remote as you choose.

I’m thinking of trying this and cutting off the usb end and connecting to the blunt ignition on wire located in the drivers footwell.

I got Diode Dynamics kit. under dash for the front and under the front seats for the back. and you can put on party mode with the app, or use a solid colour. I normally have it on the same blue the back lighting is on the buttons and dials. and can set it to solid white.

volume may be loud in the acreen recording I did to get the camera and diode app to show party mode. lol so possible caution.

I installed it in May, last week was first time I used it while waiting to go inside work to clock in, when an old song from the jr/high school dances came on my play list. normally its the solid colour that matches the dash back lighting. or if Im looking for something or up under the dash, I can put it on white

I also cant drive with party mode(sync) on. thers no brightness control. it is full 100% if I could dim it, I might use it every now and then. lol

I ised the the pre installed double sided tape to go under the dash, then I used dollarstore velcro tape to stick to the back of the double sided tape to attach to the rear of the front seats

The F150leds.com have a brightness control, you can adjust the levels with the remote.​
